Andrea Cremer's Bio: Andrea Cremer spent her childhood daydreaming while roaming the forests and lakeshores of Northern Wisconsin. She now lives in Minnesota, but she thinks of her homeland as the “Canadian Shield” rather than the Midwest.

Andrea has always loved writing and has never stopped writing, but she only recently plunged into the deep end of the pool that is professional writing. When she’s not writing, Andrea is a professor of history at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.”

In the little spare time she can find, Andrea stares up at trees, rescues infant rabbits from predatory cats, and invents names for pug puppies with her husband. She has an unfortunate tendency to spill things – white carpets beware!

Her debut novel, NIGHTSHADE, the first of a YA fantasy series, will be published in fall 2010 by Penguin (Philomel)

Summary: (from goodreads) When Calla Tor wakes up in the lair of the Searchers, her sworn enemies, she’s certain her days are numbered. But then the Searchers make her an offer—one that gives her the chance to destroy her former masters and save the pack—and the man—she left behind. Is Ren worth the price of her freedom? And will Shay stand by her side no matter what? Now in control of her own destiny, Calla must decide which battles are worth fighting and how many trials true love can endure and still survive.

First off I didn't think I could survive while reading Wolfsbane. Andrea really knows how to cause so much turmoil in 400 pages of a book. Can you love and Hate a book at the same time, when I say hate though I mean it in the best way possible of course. If Wolfsbane would have been any longer, I honestly would have had to seek out a Nightshade support group. With all that said, I cant wait for more. This world that Andrea brings to us, is unlike any other world I visit in other books. The attention to detail is so important in books and Andrea delivers every single time. Its like I can hear or see every moment that occurs. This is why make a book from just being good to Outstanding.

A little on the cover, since there were redesigned. I probably agree with the majority and miss the original covers. That's happens just because we were introduced with the old covers and that's how we fell in love with the series. Now the saying goes don't fix whats not broken but I don't think changing them was a bad call either. The new cover gives us more detail, its not just a face looking at us. We see so much in the cover. Calla in a stance like she is ready to change into a wolf with the full moon behind her, that's detail. I also like the cover because they kept the green. So kuddos on the covers and eventually we all will love the new covers just like the old.

So we begin shortly after the cliff hanger from Nightshade. Calla wakes up in a unknown location. This location is home to the Searchers. What's a Guardian doing in a searchers location, that's what Calla has running through her mind. She then realizes that Shay is also with her and the searchers have a plan for her, will Calla join their side? They need her to try and get her pack and the other to become allies in the war. Of course this is a idea Calla can't see herself committing too. Being amongst the Searchers Calla start uncover some hidden truths that she has grown up believing. She also hears of a horrible slaying that has been committed to one of the pack. Its crushes Calla completed. When she finally comes to face her mate, she is left confused and astonished. Calla turns to Shay during all this turmoil. What will Calla do and what will Calla choose, love or her responsibilities as Alpha.

Wolfsbane is a complete different tale compared to Nightshade. Same intensity but the dark pitch is nothing that Nightshade had. Everyone seems more mature and they are all such a strong part in Wolfsbane. Will you be upset with certain events that occur, probably not upset but you will feel heartbreak. I guess it all depends on what team you play on. So if you haven't notice all my talk, tweets and post about this series. You were living under a rock somewhere very remote. Begin the series with Nightshade so you fall in love and become hooked with the series. Then pick up Wolfsbane answers and complications keeping on your toes. If you don't believe me that this is my favorite wolf mythology series, then read all the other 5star reviews about this series, you will see Im not alone. You hear the tick-tock noise, that's my clock counting down for when I have the chance to read Bloodrose. I, Yara highly recommend reading this series today, hoy, aujourd'hui, oggi.
