Summary: (from goodreads) A love so strong, even eternity can’t separate them.

Evie Starling has lived a relatively uneventful life hanging out with friends, gossiping about boys, and driving her 1966 Mustang. All of that changes when she moves to Gunnison, Colorado, to start college and meets two mysterious men.

For centuries, Alex Night and Emil Stone have yearned for Evie—but they each have their own reasons for wanting to be with her. When both men claim to be her soul mate and tell her about an unbelievable past, Evie learns that she’s not the person she thought she was. Soon, Evie finds herself in the middle of an age-old battle between the Amaranthine Society—the soul protectors, and the Daevos Resistance—the soul destroyers. With a past she doesn’t understand, and a future rife with danger, Evie has to decide who she can trust. But Alex and Emil aren’t the only ones who want Evie, and her soul is about to become the rope in an eternal tug-of-war.

After the chat with Angela Corbett and getting to know her and hearing about the book I had to go out and buy it. So I did and after reading it I am happy to say that It’s does not disappoint!!!!

It’s been a while since I have come across a book that the heroin is in college instead of High School. I like that she’s a little more grown up, but still a teenage and I can relate to this character more then I can a High School student and I must admit it was one main reason I picked up the book. The world Angela creates in this story is like a historical romance where “True Love” is forever and it kind of reminds me of the indescribable love in “The Notebook” although this is completely different it has somewhat the same concept. Corbett’s writing was easily readable and flawless non the less and the story center’s around Evie a head strong, no nonsense type of girl who has moved to Gunninson, Colorado to start college and where she meets Alex. Alex at first seems a little arrogant and full of it but then he woes in and makes a 360 turn that leaves you breathless. At least it did Evie. Here, in Gunninson, Colorado she also meets Emil. Emil is a character who is secure within himself, and real. From the very beginning of meeting this character I felt him grounded, level headed and real. Team Emil! Besides the characterization, the story made me laugh, angry and frustrated taking all types of different emotions out of me making it a unique, intriguing and amazing read! I highly recommend it!

  3. Emil is cute, but I am for Alex all the way. I was so glad he found a way that they could be together. Life would be sad without his kisses.
