I was asked to come here today and tell you a bit about myself, and I’ll admit this makes me a little uncomfortable. Until recently, there wasn’t a lot of good in my life. Nothing really worth talking about. I was raised in captivity by the Denazen Corporation, and used as a weapon. I’m a Six, a person with an abnormal ability, and since the day I was born, my skin has been lethal to any living thing that touches it. Until I met her.

Dez.

I can’t say much about myself without talking about Dez. I am who I am because of her. The way she looks at me, the faith I see in her eyes, it gives me the strength I need to face the unknown, and the motivation to be the person she thinks I am. A good person.

It’s not always easy. There’s a word I despise—complicated. But the truth is, it’s what I am. Complicated. I’ve never seen a rainbow or tasted fried chicken—something Dez promises to remedy very soon—yet I can take out a room full of armed men in the blink of an eye.

And I have. I’ve killed with—and without—regret, but only ever for survival. But there’s a part of me where anger lives, a part that itches for revenge. It’s Dez that keeps the itch at bay. My life was a dark tunnel until I met her. She’s the light at the end.

I’ll never let them take me back to that place. I’d kill a hundred if I had to. But if they ever tried to take her?

I’d kill thousands.

NOBODY KNOWS I AM: An animal lover. Over the summer, Dez took me to the zoo. It took a bit for me to understand why they all lived in cages—something I don’t condone—but after she explained it, the zoo became one of my favorite places to go. The best animals are the bears, but I didn’t have the opportunity to meet any in person. But we did go to a section called the petting palace—Dez found the name incredibly funny for some reason. I’m not sure why… There, I got to see goats, horses, and sheep. The goats weren’t very friendly, but the sheep were. I had to wear gloves, but it was an excellent day.

I WISH I COULD STOP: Killing things. I’d like to have the ability to hand Dez a flower—instead of a handful of dust. I’d also like a pet. A bear would be ideal. I wonder if you’re allowed to have a pet bear… They’re kind of big, but if they were well trained I don’t see the harm. I suppose a dog would due, too. Until I can control my ability though, that can’t happen.

I'M A SUCKER FOR: Dez. Anything about Dez makes me happy, but particularly, her smile. When she smiles at me, I feel like I can do anything. Like I can be anything. Oh, and cheese. I really like cheese. The breaded kind is the best.

A GOOD TIME FOR ME IS: Spending time with Dez. It doesn’t matter what we’re doing. Watching those action movies she likes so much, or sitting outside under the stars. As long as we’re together, I’m happy.

NOBODY WOULD BELIEVE ME IF THEY SAW ME: Skateboard. Dez taught me over the summer. She says I’m a natural.

I'D REALLY RATHER: See Dez’s old boyfriend, Alex, move away. Far away. He’s irritating and severely pushes the limits of my control.

THE FIRST THING I DO IN THE MORNING IS: One hundred pushups. It was part of a forced routine at Denazen. I suppose some habits just stick with you.

The books are available on Amazon: Touch • Untouched • Toxic • Tremble
Any volunteers to show Kale a rainbow??? I'm first in line of course. To celebrate Kale's visit, Jus is offering a signed copy of Touch with the extra Kale POV scenes in it. Throws Confetti!!!

  24. I'd like a boyfriend with either flying, super strength or healing powers. Those are the most useful, but having a boyfriend who could read feelings would be nice. I wouldn't have to explain any of my emotions.

  25. I think if I had a boyfriend, I'd want him to be able to sense emotions or read minds since I kinda suck at explaining stuff and speaking. I usually panic and start to really stumble over my words when I have to say anything to anyone...
This is Natasha I by the way.

  26. I don't know if this counts as a power but I would want him to be an angel with healing powers and all the other powers that typically come with being an angel.
