Summary: (from goodreads) To be normal, sixteen-year-old Julia Parker would shed her empathic gift in a second. Life has been difficult since her mother's mysterious disappearance ten years earlier - an event she witnessed, but can't remember. Julia's situation becomes more complicated after a near death experience from a blood thirsty stalker. As high school students go missing it is clear there is a connection to her own experience--past and present. Someone has to stop the madness and a chance encounter with a creepy psychic foretells that only Julia is the key to stopping the madness, but it may require the life of the one she loves.

I'm so glad Brenda found my blog, and emailed me about reading her book. Its great when a Author can bring something fresh and new in the Vampire world to print. Brenda writes so you have no idea what time it is because you are in the story walking besides Julia the whole time. The main characters Julia and Nicholas are just great together, takes you back to that 1st love again. When I was finishing I was saying to my self, this cant be it. I hope she is continuing this story. I need to read more of Julia and Nicholas. I would love to read in future installments the story behind the Emerald Talisman itself, also what will Nicholas do when he figures out Julia omitted some important information from him. Will they be able to keep their relationship going or will Nicholas go back to the way it was in the beginning. I wont give anything else away. Make sure you pick up your copy today!
