Blood Noir the 16th book in the Anita Blake series stays true to form from Laurell K. Hamilton with every detail being a delicious delight for the reader. Anita embarks on a new kind of adventure with good friend and werewolf, Jason Schuyler, as they go under cover as "normal non monster" type people, to Jason's hometown. Jason's past comes back to the forefront and has to deal with family and old friends and an old pain in the butt with Anita along for the ride as his "girlfriend". Things take a change for the weird when " The Mother of all Darkness" comes from the bowels of old Europe to pull Anita into her game to regain strength from afar though Anita. Collecting men has always been one of Anita's curses of gifts however you see the  glass being full, or should I say coffee cup. As a reader your in for some unexpected twists and turns  and new revelations from two people who where suppose  to be going on a mini vacation as a "normal" fake couple.



Synopsis: A favor for Jason, vampire hunter Anita Blake’s werewolf lover, puts her in the center of a fullblown scandal that threatens master-vampire Jean- Claude’s reign—and makes her a pawn in an ancient vampire queen’s new rise to power.
