Welcome Misty!

OUaT: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer?

It seems like I’ve always wanted to be a writer. In fact, if you ask my mom, I’ve always been a gifted storyteller. I was the toddler who drew an elaborate picture book … with crayons … on my wall. I was the elementary school student that tried to write her science paper in story format. I was the middle schooler who did a book report on her own story. Oh yeah, I can go on …

OUaT: What do you think makes a good story?

I think a good story is all about the characters. You can have fun and create fabulous plots, but if you don’t have true life-like characters then it just seems flat to me. Personally, I need to connect with the people in a story.

OUaT: Which of your books was the easiest to write?

The easiest to write was “The Genie of the Portrait” (and it is also my favorite). For some reason that little story just jumped off of the page for me.

OUaT: What kind of research did you have to do for your novels?

Oh, I love online research. LOL, I can Google a topic forever.

OUaT: Are you working on any future books?

Well, I have a few books coming out this summer. “Chasing Tabby” and “Catching Hell” are the first two stories in the Katt Tales Series. They will be available through Secret Cravings Publishing.
And my current work in progress is a Steampunk Romance. “The Madame of Gravestone” will be the first in the Corset Chronicles.

OUaT: If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?

Oh I would have to say it would be something like …“The Misadventures of Supermom.”

OUaT: If you could pick one super power, what would you choose?

I would have to go with every supermom’s dream, the power to have time for everything!
