Summary: (from Borders) #1 New York Times bestselling author J.R. Ward's thrilling new novel in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
Payne, twin sister of Vishous, is cut from the same dark, seductive cloth as her brother. Imprisoned for eons by their mother, the Scribe Virgin, she finally frees herself-only to face a devastating injury. Manuel Manello, M.D., is drafted by the Brotherhood to save her as only he can-but when the human surgeon and the vampire warrior meet, their two worlds collide in the face of their undeniable passion. With so much working against them, can love prove stronger than the birthright and the biology that separates them?

I have to admit that I was ecstatic when March 29th came around and Lover Unleashed was up for grabs.  I stayed up until midnight waiting for B&N to have it available just so I could start reading it right away.  The only problem was that I was so tired, I ended up falling asleep and only finishing the first two chapters.  I honestly didn’t know if I wanted to read it all in one day or take my time and savor every page. Needless to say, I TOTALLY LOVED THIS BOOK!  The WARDden has done it again.

I am giving it a 5 even though it wasn’t one of my favorite books. My favorites are still “Lover Awakened” (Zsadist & Bella) and “Lover Avenged” (Rehvenge and Ehlena). But don’t get me wrong, it was still an awesome book and I couldn’t put it down.  It just didn’t suck me in like “my favorites.” V annoyed and freaked me out in the beginning of the book with all his “issues.”  Don’t get me wrong he and Z are my favorite brothers, but I think it was a little extreme (when you read the book, you will know what I’m talking about.) I love Payne’s character and Manny of course, was HOT and the love scenes, well, its J.R. Ward, they are SUPER HOT.  This is definitely not a series for anyone under 18, that’s for sure. Enjoy!!

LIKES:
1.  The steamy love scenes
2.  The chemistry between Manny and Payne
 DISLIKES:
1. Butch and V’s “therapy session”
2. I didn’t get to find out about the other brothers especially Z and Bella’s new baby.

  3. Ugh I still have no time to read this. It is getting lonely sitting on my shelf waiting for me to pick it up. Great review though I was starting to get worried with some other reviewers saying it wasn't that great.
