Plot: (from IMDB) When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams.

I absolutely LOVED this move. This movie for being a cartoon was all about Rio, Brazil. What a great idea to make a movie about birds in Brazil and that love to sing and dance. The Samba music is great, your in your seat wanting to dance. The colors in the movie are so bright and beautiful. I saw it in 3D and its made so much of the animation pop. I left the movie saying I now wanted to visit Rio when Carnival was happening.

Blu was stolen as a baby from the wild jungle in Brazil, he was sold on the black-market and getting transported his box fell off the truck in the middle of Minnesota. So a little girl named Linda finds him and promises him she will take care of him. Then we see how they grew together and later when Linda is an adult and Blu is older they are living and working in a bookstore and Blu is very domesticated. Then one day a scientist from Brazil walks in the store stating that Blu is the last blue male Macaw and they have a girl and they want then to mate. This all has to take place in Brazil of course. SOunds easy right, guess again. Between having one angry female bird and  men trying to caputure Blu. Its plays for one crazy ride in Brazil during Carnival time. Great Movie to buy when it comes out on DVD and also to see at the theaters.

Plot: (from IMDB) E.B., the Easter Bunny's teenage son, heads to Hollywood, determined to become a drummer in a rock 'n' roll band. In LA, he's taken in by Fred after the out-of-work slacker hits E.B. with his car.

Yes I know 3 trees, Why you ask? Well the movie wasn't all that funny, as I expected. Its dragged in parts and the best test ever is when my boys gets bored. It had its cute and funny parts but it was not a solid all the way thru performance. E.B. the Easter Bunny son which he is set to become the next Easter Bunny. E.B. doesn't want to though, like any teenager, he wants to be a drummer. So he runs away to Hollywood and comes across Fred the human. Then it just following them as they deal with hanging together and Fred messing up job interview while E.B. is hiding from the Pink Barret's that are searching from him. This is definitely a wait for the DVD for me but being Easter weekend we thought it would be cute.

  1. Ooooh I loved, loved, LOVED Rio! I enjoyed it way more than my kids did. I can't wait until it comes out and I can buy it and watch it again! I really have no desire to watch Hop. My nephew (10) went to see it and he hated it, so that pretty much sums it up for me.
