The Well of the Truth is book two of the Kindred Blood series and it is good. You learn more about the history of the characters and the battles. Vampires vs. Vampires and Vampires vs. Vampire hunters and the hunter is not a werewolf. This author gave the werewolf and vampire history known in all books a twist of her own. In these stories the werewolf are allies to the vampires and even take demands from them. Werewolves are protectors of the vampire during the daylight hours and to otherwise do things that vampires can’t do. I thought is was a nice twist and unique from different books and I liked it. The author also had amazing details and based her second book in Italy. It was nice to hear about the surroundings, to imagine being there with the descriptive details that she mentioned outlining everything from the building structures to the colors, to the way the buildings looked being so old and unkempt. It took my imagination to a whole other level. Not to mention the whole biblical edge she added to the plot. I was enthralled by the way she incorporated the biblical terminology and characteristics and using it to her advantage to thicken the plot and make it that more interesting and unique. The story kept me on my toes wanting to read and read to see what happened next and when I reached the end I was captivated and believe that there must be another book out there or will be out there soon and I can not wait until it comes out to read it. Overall, it’s a great book and I highly recommended it.

After learning that his creator has sent “The Enforcement Team” to capture him in New York to return him, Kaden has accepted an offer. Only it’s a suicide mission. Kaden has found himself in Italy, working with the Iustitia (the Pope’s army of vampire hunters) to find and eliminate the threat that has all of Italy indoors and streets vacant. Kaden begins to investigate who the enemy is and learns a lot of new things that he doesn’t want to know. There’s a secret that has been kept hidden for the past seven hundred centuries and if reveled, will kill any and everything in it’s way. Can Kaden find out the secret and destroy it before it destroys everything?
