Summary: (from goodreads) As one of the genetically enhanced Kyndred, Lilah's mind-reading powers make her vulnerable to a mysterious biotech company willing to murder to acquire her superhuman DNA. But her true fear may come from her own Kyndred brethren...

Only suitable for adults, very explicit sexual content.

3rd book of the Kyndred series, and if you read the previous books and the books from the Darkyn series where this one is derived from, you know that her writing grabs you and will not release you until the end. As with all her books, surprises, suspense and the unexpected is never lacking; her stories are unpredictable, you might think you know where she is heading, but you’ll soon find out that it is very different of what you expected.

Lilah is been avoiding exposure ever since she found out about her ability to control animal minds. She knew that, if it went public GenHance, (a company that experiments with DNA from special humans like her) would find her and convert her into a guinea pig. One day, after answering a call at the Animal Rescue, to save a kid from a bear, she is caught on camera and instantly becomes a target. They find her and are able drug her, capture and handcuff her to a stranger in the back of a refrigerated truck. Walker, the stranger, she is attached to is different as well. Trying to escape they find out that when they are together amazing things can happen. They finally get away from their kidnappers, and the town they find themselves in, is full of secrets as well.

You will find answers to questions, more questions and a lot of hidden secrets along the story. I found myself backtracking to re-read some parts to make sure it was what I actually understood. You will not be disappointed with this installment of the series and I highly recommend the whole series.
