Summary: (from goodreads) Frannie Cavanaugh is a good Catholic girl with a bit of a wicked streak. She has spent years keeping everyone at a distance—-even her closest friends—-and it seems as if her senior year is going to be more of the same . . . until Luc Cain enrolls in her class. No one knows where he came from, but Frannie can’t seem to stay away from him.

What she doesn’t know is that Luc is on a mission. He’s been sent from Hell itself to claim Frannie’s soul. It should be easy—-all he has to do is get her to sin, and Luc is as tempting as they come. Frannie doesn’t stand a chance. But he has to work fast, because if the infernals are after her, the celestials can’t be far behind. And sure enough, it’s not long before the angel Gabriel shows up, willing to do anything to keep Luc from getting what he came for. It isn’t long before they find themselves fighting for more than just Frannie’s soul.

But if Luc fails, there will be Hell to pay . . . for all of them.

Why did I take so long to read this book, I do not know why. I've had it since last year and for some reason or another it kept getting pushed back in my reading pile. Then I received Original Sin as a part of Teen Book Scene Tour. I knew I had to read Personal Demons before I reviewed Original Sin. Again I have no clue why I didn't sooner. This book was excellent from start to finish. I was so sunk in that not much around me when I was reading was noticeable. What a concept Lisa wrote, I still with all the books I have read haven't come across a Demon vs. Angel book. Now when I say Demon vs. Angel, it because its a battle of which side gets the girl (so to speak). The writing style that Lisa uses, works so well. I like how she changes POV during chapters. By doing this Lisa let us connect with each character and understand them and how they think, feel and act.

What is Personal Demons, its a story of Good vs. Evil. You meet Frannie, she sweet and one tough cookie but she has a dark past. She is a senior at Haden High or "Hades High" like the student body calls it. Just before the school year finishes, Luc enrolls in school. He is this mysterious tall dark of bad boy that comes off as trouble. Frannie for some reason can't stay away. They become lab partners and well things just get harder for Frannie. Luc on the other hand is celebrating, because this will help him at completing his task. What task you ask, well you see Luc is a demon, yup straight from the fiery pits of hell itself. He has been sent to Haden so he can tag Frannie for hell. Now as to why does Frannie have a interest for Lucifer himself, well its seems she has special abilities. Frannie doesn't even really know this about her. Well she can rest a little easier when Gabriel enrolls in Haden High also. Gabriel turns out to be heaven sent. Now just because Gabriel is a angel and by nature they are to be good, Gabriel also has been sent to tag Frannie for Heaven. Complicated, Yes you have no idea unless you read this book. What is a girl to do? Heaven or Hell?

This is a love triangle like you never read before. Will Frannie realize what is happening and why she has a tag of war going on inside of her for this two beings. Pick up Personal Demons today, if you haven't already. This will be a book you cant put down until you have read the last word. I've already started Original Sin which is the 2nd installment in the series and can't wait to see what continues to happen.
