Welcome Cesya,

OUaT: Can you tell us today a little bit about Elemental Reality?

Elemental Reality is about Faeries and Conjurers with the ability to control the elements. There are evil beings out there that are after the Faeries and Conjurers because of where they live. Callie and Lola don’t know what they are. Their true identities were hidden from them. When they find out about who they are the story takes off.

OUaT: This is your debut, how was the process on becoming a published author?

STRESSFUL. I only say that because I had just gotten a promotion at work and was working full time. I wasn’t used to working so many hours in a day so by the time I finished work I was exhausted but still stayed up to do edits on some chapters. I wasn’t very good with time-management but I know now that I need to work on that.

OUaT: Elemental Reality has Faeries, why did you go with Faeries? Is there any other paranormal being in the book that you can disclose?

I thought it would be cool to see a Faerie with the superb elemental powers. There are also Conjurers. They are the male counterparts to Faeries. And some Demons.

OUaT: How much say or work did you have in the making of the cover? which by the way it’s very beautiful.

Thank you! I had no say besides describing Callie’s powers to really make the lightning and the glow on her hand come to life. I’m glad I didn’t have a say though. I don’t think the cover would have been as amazing.

OUaT: Which of your characters came easy to write and which was the hardest?

Callie was definitely the easiest to write. She’s the person I want to be. Oli was the hardest only because of the Aussie slang he uses. Thankfully I have a friend in Sydney who enjoyed helping me.

OUaT: What books would your characters be reading right now?

Callie would be reading a fantasy book. Probably young adult fantasy. Lola would have her nose in a photography book. Oli would be reading up on farms in Australia. Cayden would be reading war novels. Ady would be reading gossip magazines. And Emery would be reading Sports Illustrated.

OUaT: What song would best describe your book?

I haven’t heard a song yet that really captured what my book is about.

OUaT: If you could jump into any book and live in that world, which book would you choose?

Great question! You have me completely stumped. Um . . . I’ll have to go with Paranormalcy by Kiersten White. Her story has every paranormal and supernatural creature you can think of!

OUaT: Describe yourself in 5 words.

Funny, shy, creative, imaginative, witty.

OUaT: How can a reader contact you or purchase your book?

I can be contacted by my personal email (cesyaslaughter@gmail.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/cesyamaraecuono), Goodreads (www.goodreads.com/cesya_marae), Twitter (@cherrybomb_xox), or my Blog (www.cesyacuonobooks.blogspot.com).
