OUaT: Why Vampires? Do you have a story as to why you chose to write about them?

JIMS: That’s simple, I have an obsession. LOL! I’ve always been fascinated with vampires and most mythical creatures so it was just natural for me to write about vampires.

OUaT: Who was harder or easier to write? Laney or Oliver?

JIMS: I think Oliver might be a little harder to write because I plan to write his version of the story and I have to make notes and keep in mind what he’s thinking, where he’s been and what he’s been up to.

OUaT: Will you keep writing YA or have you thought of jumping into Adult?

JIMS: I plan to do both. I have a character, Nikki, that will be introduced at some point in Laney’s story and I plan to tell her story but Nikki’s story will be an adult paranormal story.

OUaT: OK so this question I love, If your book were to be made into a movie, who would you pick to play Laney and Oliver?

JIMS: I have no ideas for who would play Laney but I have always pictured Oliver to look a little like Hayden Christensen.

OUaT: How long did it take you from start to end, to complete the book?

JIMS: From the time I sat down to first start writing Laney to when I finished my final edit probably took about nine months.

OUaT: What are your current projects?
JIMS: My most current project is Darkness, book 2 of Laney’s story, which is due out anytime. There has been a bit of delay with the production and release but we hope to have it out very soon.

OUaT: What do you like to do when you are not writing?

JIMS: When I’m not writing I love to read. I love getting lost in a good book. I also like watching movies and my favorite TV shows which include: True Blood, Merlin, Dexter, Being Human, Big Bang Theory, The Middle, and Eureka just to name a few.

OUaT: Tell us your favorite Vampire movie or book?

JIMS: I love Rachel Caine’s Morganville Vampires series and when I was young I was in love with The Lost Boys movie. There was a point in my life when I could recite the entire movie. ;)

OUaT: How can a reader contact you, or purchase your book?

JIMS: All of my contact and purchase information can be found on my website:www.brookehavenvampires.com
