Summary: (from goodreads) Eden is a Soul Eater. While that hasn’t meant much to her in the past, she’s pretty sure any minute now she’s going to go all "Carrie" on her eleventh grade class.

Noah is an Ankh. As an immortal Warrior, his purpose in life is to hunt down and kill Soul Eaters.

Eden is Noah’s next assignment. Problem is… this is an assignment with a difference. Eden’s not your average, run of the mill, Soul Eater. Noah’s job? To test Eden for possible redemption.

It’s a risky business.

Especially if Noah awakens Eden’s inner monster.

It would be kind of hard for Eden to listen to the angel on her shoulder when the devil on the other is telling her, her new best friend is a lying, scheming, immortal enemy...

....betrayal is such a bitch.

So is Eden when you get on her bad side.

YA Paranormal Fiction for mature teens+ (some content may not be suitable for younger readers)

Samantha has done it again!! There is just nothing this girl can’t do that isn’t top notch. Samantha delivers another great beginning to a sure to be phenomenal series. I won this book on Samantha’s blog a little while ago, but I didn’t have time to read it until now. What an amazing start to the series!

Eden has always known that she was different from everyone in her family. She has always felt like she didn’t belong with them, well except her brother, Stellan. Stellan has always supported her and taken care of her. Her parents are a little “off”; well if that’s what you call someone who tortures, kills and steals people souls just to survive. Eden’s hunger hasn’t awakened just yet and is dreading the day where she will have to take someone’s life just to live.

Then there is Noah - sweet, sexy and strong Noah. Noah and Eden go to the same school and are pretty good friends. They have a lot in common, except for the fact that Noah is an Ankh and Ankhs hunt and kill soul eaters. But Noah has a different job he must complete and that is get close to Eden and test Eden for possible redemption. The Only problem is that Noah has triggered Eden’s hunger and Eden is struggling with the temptation of Noah’s yummy soul. Will Eden fight the urge long enough before her wakening ceremony, or will she listen to the voices in her mind telling her to feed her hunger?

Blood Will Tell is a great read and I totally recommend reading it. There are scenes in the book that are not for young readers though. I cannot wait to read Blood Past, book #2. Also, Samantha is busy working on book #3, Shades of Blood, which is due December 2011.

  1. Woah! That cover literally jumped at me, he looks like such a moody bastard (pardon my language!) :) Great review, I'm adding this book to my wishlist.
