Summary: (from goodreads) Hannah can't wait to sneak off for a romantic weekend with her boyfriend, Colin. He’s leaving for college soon, and Hannah wants their trip to the lake house to be one they’ll never forget.

But once Hannah and Colin get there, things start to seem a bit...off. They can't find the town on any map. The house they are staying in looks as if some one's been living there, even though it's been deserted for years. And Colin doesn’t seem quite himself. As he grows more unstable, Hannah worries about Colin’s dark side, and her own safety.

Nothing is as perfect as it seems, and what lies beneath may haunt her forever.

I picked up Still Waters just before I went on a trip and because the book I was reading I just couldn't get into. I read Still Waters in less than 24hrs. Its such a fast read not so much because its under 300 pages, its fast because you get sucked in so quickly. Still Waters is full of fast-paced actions with a creepy factor thrown in. It will keep you on the edge of your seat basically.

Still Waters is the story of Hannah and her boyfriend Colin. Hannah has planned a secret getaway with Colin before he heads off to college. Hannah has planned it to the T, so that her mother thinks she will be working that whole weekend. Colin has no idea what Hannah has planned, not even were they are going. Then when he finally figures it out, he is not to pleased with the location. Hannah decided that they would spend the weekend getaway at Colin's family vacation home in the middle of no where. Its so secluded its not even on a map any more. They finally make up to the house and well you can say skeletons in the closet have been released. That's all your getting from me without spoiling the story. The question is will Hannah and Colin make it back home? or even have that romantic getaway that she planned?

The way Emma writes, the characters are realistic. The story is creepy, but in a way that can be real. The writing will grab your attention, because you will need to know what now or what next. Another item I like about books is when the cover matches the inside. The cover completely gels with the story-line. I recommend the book to pretty much anyone, its that contagious.
