Summary: (from goodreads) Calla has always welcomed war.

But now that the final battle is upon her, there's more at stake than fighting. There's saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay's wrath. There's keeping Ansel safe, even if he's been branded a traitor. There's proving herself as the pack's alpha, facing unnameable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers' magic once and for all. And then there's deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is.

So, this is the last book of the Nightshade series. Although I am sad to see it end, I am happy about the way things turned out. I was a little ticked about the ending but after letting the story sink in, I wouldn’t have done it any other way.

In Bloodrose, Calla, Shay and the Searchers continue their mission in fighting the Keepers. Just like in every war, there are tragedies on both sides. There was a moment towards the end that I honestly had to put the book down and just start crying. Then with tear drenched eyes I had to continue reading because I NEEDED to know what was going to happen next. It was very hard for me to understand why some things had to happen and was pretty upset with Andrea, but I understood where she was coming from and I am sure it must have been even harder for her to do it. But don’t let that discourage you, there were so many great adventures and twists and turns that you will fall in love with the characters just as much as I did. Bloodrose was an incredible ending to this over the top series.

I want to thank Andre for writing such an amazing series. You totally rock!!!! You have made me a fan for life. I have said this before and I am going to say it again, Andrea is an incredible author who truly writes from the heart. I can feel every emotion come out from every page. If you haven’t started reading Nightshade, I strongly suggest you do. You will NOT be disappointed. I promise.

  2. I was disappointed in the end of this series. I loved the first books so much and then this one let me down. The story just felt a little bit done before and while I'm happy Calla ended up with the guy I liked I hated the ending. I didn't like that she basically killed everything that had made them human characters.

Thanks for the great review, glad you like this series

  3. Glad you enjoyed Bloodrose. A lot of people didn't like the way Andrea ended the series. Personally, I loved the first two books in the series but I didn't even bother to read this after I seen a spoiler about Ren. I never really liked Shay so I knew I wasn't going to like the path that this book took.
