Top Ten Books That I Read That Surprised Me How Much I Loved It.

- Rushby Jeremy Iversen

- Smart Girls Get What They Wantby Sarah Strohmeyer
- Bellesby Jen Calonita
- Shelter: A Mickey Bolitar Novelby Harlan Coben
- Pretty Crookedby Elisa Ludwig
- Rae of Hopeby W.J. May
- Otherworld Chronicles: The Invisible Towerby Nils Johnson- Shelton

- The Dovekeepers: A Novelby Alice Hoffman
- The Beginning of Afterby Jennifer Castle
- The Shadowing: Huntedby Adam Slater
- Hot Wheels and High Heelsby Jane Graves
- Moon Spell: a Tale of Lunarmorte novelby Samantha Young (this was the first series of hers that I read and fell in love with her)
- Forbiddenby Tabitha Suzuma
- Seers of Lightby Jennifer DeLucy
- Zan-Gah: A Prehistoric Adventureby Allan Richard Shickman
- Going Undergroundby Susan Vaught
- Whirlwindby Robin DeJarnett
- Destinyby Laura DeLuca
- Forbiddenby Tabitha Suzuma - A book with such a big taboo was not one I expected to impact me so hard. This is the book that stays with you for a long time. Amazing.
- Don't Breathe a Wordby Holly Cupala - Such a strong voice in this book, it leaves you speechless.
- The Hostby Stephenie Meyer - I didn't think I would love this book knowing my favorites vampires and wolves would not be present, but its it own entity and a great one at that.
- The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer - I picked this one up a back in 2008 just because the cover caught my attention, I didn't even know what YA was back them. You know how the rest of the story ends.
- Waterfallby Lisa T. Bergren - Totally caught off guard by this book, I never thought I would love so much a historical as much as I do this whole series.
- The Iron Kingby Julie Kagawa - when you think fey, I picture Tinkerbell. So when I read this book and saw that fey can be dark, I was sold!
- The Unbecoming of Mara Dyerby Michelle Hodkin - I still to this date, don't know what it is about that book but something about it makes you fall hard for it.
- Grave Mercyby Robin LaFevers - Another first in a new genre I had not died out, High fantasy mixed with Historical. I couldn't stop think of how great this book was.
- On the Islandby Tracey Garvis-Graves - Just finished this one recently and all I can say is WOW, its survival at its finest. Blue Lagoon has nothing on On the Island.
- Shatter Meby Tahereh Mafi - I almost passed on this book. I began reading it and just couldn't get passed the scratch out lines but then listen to it on audio and its grip me so hard i couldn't not stop. Its just extraordinary!!!

The Host surprised me by how much I liked it too. I wasn't a big Twilight fan. To be honest I couldn't work out why people considered it to be such a big deal. Still can't.
ReplyDeleteBut the Host was brilliant. I adored the characters and the setting. :)
- Kate
Cant wait to see it on film
DeleteI still haven't read Mara Dyer...I don't know why I keep hesitating. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised too.
ReplyDeleteNice lists ladies!
ha! get to it soon, the sequel comes out later this year.
DeleteShatter Me looks amazing, I want to read it so bad! Same with Mara Dyer...I need to get round to reading The Host.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks!
I have a copy of Pretty Crooked, but I was scared to read it because of the poor reviews -- I'm happy to see someone loved it! Now I look forward to cracking it open. :)
ReplyDeleteIt will be exciting to see if Garvis-Graves' 2nd novel, Covet (due out Dec 2013) will be as successful and brilliant as On the Island.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I haven't read any of these. I've been wanting to read all of these too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder!
