We are relieve that the publishers finally took notice of Samantha's talents!!!

Author Bio: I'm a 26 year old Scottish book addict and I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2009. I studied ancient and medieval history at uni, and it was in my first year there, in the middle of a classical literature lecture, that I first came up with the idea for The Tale of Lunarmorte. I've been writing since as long as I can remember, and I write in a number of genres including romance, paranormal, urban fantasy, fantasy, and contemporary.I love pulling pieces of historical fact (or mythology) and twisting it to fit my stories, and am more than thankful my degree is being put to good use in my writing. I began self-publishing in 2011 and now write full time.

Another huge part of my life is music and more often than not my music and writing come together.I'm a fan of many, many bands and artists; topping the list: The Airborne Toxic Event, Metric, White Lies, Biffy Clyro, the Killers, Muse, Paramore, Alex Winston, The Cardigans, Adele, We Are Scientists, the Kooks, Arcade Fire, Silverchair, Rihanna, Paolo Nutini,Kings of Leon, Florence and the Machine, and many, many more artists who can inspire the perfect scene.

As I said I'm also a massive book addict - my favourite writers: Chloe Neill, Stacia Kane, Laini Taylor, Tahereh Mafi, Tammy Blackwell, Julie Kagawa, Patrick Ness, Orson Scott Card, Veronica Roth, Richelle Mead, Cassandra Clare, Michael Grant, Suzanne Collins, Rachel Vincent, Rachel Caine, Charlaine Harris, Maria V. Snyder, Melissa de la Cruz, Karen Marie Moning, Angela Carter, Margaret Atwood, J.K. Rowling and again, many, many more incredible authors who make you want to do this for a living. I am: Batman. Apparently I'm also unoriginal. I've just always wanted to say that in a public forum of some kind. :p

I would trade: vegetables for: chocolate in a heartbeat.

Something I have been challenged with lately is: time management. I thought I had it down. Turns out... not so much.

A super random factoid about me is: My favorite song from Grease is 'There are Worse Things I Could do'.

The last thing you would ever expect me to like (even though I secretly do) is: Grease.

Some wise words I love are: I think that hate is a thing, a feeling, that can only exist where there is no understanding. - Tennessee Williams

A song I always get stuck in my head is: Help I'm Alive by Metric

Roses are red and book characters are: the rockstars of imagination

My favorite discovery as of late: Kindle Fire HD

Best cure for a bad day is: Chocolate, Pringles, a couch, a blanket, and the Harry Potter Movies.

Happy ever after is: a sweet beginning.

On Dublin Street: a boy met a girl...

I write because: my brain needs an outlet.

I have always: believed that music, art and writing collaborate to tell the same story.

I hope to: continue bringing stories to my readers for many years to come!
I dream of: Chris Hemsworth on a regular basis ;)

The way to my heart is : through honesty and humor.

I am passionate about: my characters.

I am proud of: my family. They pretty much rock.

This month (January) I will: see my book in an actual bookstore in the UK for the first time ever. Woohoo!

A secret dream I have is: to own my bookstore/coffeehouse with big comfy sofas and a roaring fireplace.

I can't handle: spiders. We don't understand one another at all.

The most annoying thing in the entire world is: a person with no manners. They turn me into a grumpy grannie.

The most relaxing thing in the entire world is: a head massage. Yes please!

I think everyone should: try to remember, every day, what is important in life.

When I was 5: people outside my family doubted my ability to speak—I was painfully shy.

When I was 15: I went to my first rock gig.

When I was 21: I fell in love with a city.

Across the pond: are the coolest readers EVER.

  11. I've heard such great things about these books, and love the interview! Have to agree about Chris Hemsworth...sigh. And it's also a dream of mine to own my own bookstore and coffeehouse combo (and of course it must have oversized sofas and a fireplace--and I always wanted to serve drinks in mismatched, funky coffee cups).
