Summary: (from goodreads) Sometimes who we really are lies buried just beneath the surface…

After learning she’s inherited a house in the beachside town of Soul Harbor, Georgia, Addison Harmon and her best friend decided to take a much needed vacation before the pressures of life after high school suffocate them too heavily.

But what Addison finds isn’t a chance to recoup from a bad break up and hang out with her best friend while she decides what she wants to do with her future. What she finds is Kace Sullivan—a sexy guy she can’t seem to get enough of—someone who with one touch reveals a seductive world full of magick and secrets Addison isn’t sure she’s ready to be a part of.

Addison Avery is a recent high school graduate, who isn't quite sure what she wants to do with her life. After finding out that her birth mother left her a beach front house, she and her best friend Vera decide to spend the summer there. The purpose of the trip is to figure out what she wants to do with the house. Should she get a job and live in the house for the summer, or should she part ways with the house and sell it? The decision lies heavily on her adoptive mother. She fears that Addison will want to stay there and forget the life she knows. Due to this, Addison is careful of what to say to her Mom, as she is afraid to hurt her feelings.

The girls begin to unpack and make the house livable. While cleaning, Addison feels that a presence is watching her. She opens up a door and out runs a cat. This doesn't seem like any ordinary cat. There is something there that makes Addison feel as though the cat knows something. Something that will give her some insight to her family and answer pressing questions that she has. Insight that would change her life forever. Trying to forget this uneasy feeling, the girls decide that they need to get out of the house.

After tidying up, Addison and Vera walk the beach and take in the view. Upon walking the beach that first afternoon, Addison meets Kace Sullivan, a native and very sexy man of South Harbor, Georgia. There was something about this guy, something electric. Addison even felt it with his touch as he asked her to a local's party that evening. She assumed it was just her that felt something, since it hadn't been long after the break-up with her high school boyfriend.

Addison soon discovers that feeling that she has is none other than "magick". Kace teaches her the ins and outs of her special power and the two feel a connection like no other. Magick is what connects the two, but what does it mean for them? What power does it hold?

This was an amazing read for me. I picked up the book and after beginning to read, I couldn't put it down. I was finished in just a couple of hours .. it's that good! Therefore when you begin reading, do not expect to get anything else done! Jennifer Snyder has done it again. She has pulled me in and has me wanting more. Next up - Conjure, the next in line of the Tethered series.
