Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted, she’s about to find the one she needs.

Pepper has been hopelessly in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, for like ever. He’s the key to everything she’s always craved: security, stability, family. But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom-take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.

Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep-with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…

Ok so I can literally sit here and type over and over how much I HEART this book. I can try and make the review very profound and use big words but I can't because all I want to do is ramble and giggle like a school girl on how freaking awesome Foreplay is over and over again. It's by far one of my top favorite New Adult books ever. I knew Sophie could write, I am a loyal fan of her young adult series Firelight so it wasn't a shock to fall heads over heels about Foreplay (and REECE). Mrs. Jordan sure knows how to hook the reader in. I read Foreplay in one night which meant I didn't go to sleep until well after 4am. Foreplay is rich in romance, humor and ..... (this is a PG site guys).

Before I reflect on the book itself, I want to point out that REECE is now one of my top ten book boyfriends ever. He is that character that stays with you even after you finished the book weeks ago.

Ever have a crush on a guy but you just knew that you weren't anything more than a friend to him but you still dreamt of wanting more than just friendship? And you really didn't know how to go about in getting his attention and possibly more. Well Pepper, has that situation. She has been pinning for years her best friend's older brother Hunter. He is her ideal man that would guaranteed a perfect stable life.

The thing is that Pepper didn't grow up with that kind of a life. Not even close when your own mother would entrained different men every day and not care about her daughter's safety. Which came close one day to really ruining her life when one of those men came very close to abusing Pepper. So this put into effect her mother sending her off to live with her grandmother. So that meant Pepper had to go live with her grandmother in an old folks home, I guess that's better than the risking getting raped.

So during those years she met Hunter and when the right opportunity came knocking, Pepper felt it was her time to get what she wanted. Hunter has broken up with his girlfriend he had been dating for years. So Pepper needs a game plan to win over Hunter and make him see she is more than his sister BFF. So cue roommates and the idea of Pepper getting experience before going after her goal. They are taunting her that she has to meet this bartender they have heard about and he would be prefect to teach her how to seduce Hunter. So Pepper takes her friends advice and sets off to meet this bartender and ask him to teach her the art of foreplay.

Pepper begins her "classes" with Reece and begins to realize Reece is not just the sexy player-type bartender everyone talks about. His background might even be more dysfunctional than Pepper's but it doesn't stop him from being sweet and caring and definitely responsible.. Reece runs the bar because he had to take over running it when his abusive father became disabled and could no longer run the bar after a car accident. Pepper begins to understand the man that is Reece and maybe just maybe Hunter starts to become a forgotten conquest.

Feelings will be tested and even hurt as these two characters venture into their foreplay.  I wanted to slap Pepper at times but then she would get her crap together and about Reece I have nothing negative to say about him. I don't know how Reece came to be inside Sophie Jordan's mind but I am forever grateful he did.

Follow these instruction, they are very simple. Grab your mouse or use your finger and move the cursor over one of those buy links up top in the post such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Book Depository and buy right now! Do not wait till the book release to know if it's any good, I just got finished telling you it is and you have to believe me. I would never lie and guide you wrong. It's an irresistibly-addicting read!

About the Author:

Sophie Jordan took her adolescent daydreaming one step further and penned her first historical romance
in the back of her high school Spanish class. This passion led her to pursue a degree in English and History.

A brief stint in law school taught her that case law was not nearly as interesting as literature - teaching English seemed the natural recourse. After several years teaching high school students to love Antigone, Sophie resigned with the birth of her first child and decided it was time to pursue the long-held dream of writing.

In less than three years, her first book, Once Upon A Wedding Night, a 2006 Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Nominee for Best First Historical, hit book shelves. Her second novel, Too Wicked To Tame, released in March 2007 with a bang, landing on the USA Today Bestseller's List

  3. I have read some of Sophie's adult historical romances but have not read any of her YA books yet. FOREPLAY sounds like a great New Adult story, a wonderful story about maybe forgetting what you had always dreamed would be your perfect life with the perfect guy and finding the one who is truly perfect for you :)
