When you fall, you fall hard...

Every girl dreams of meeting a man like John Day. Tall, dark, and handsome is an understatement. With rugged good looks, his ever present plaid shirt, and a dog named Babe, John is a modern alpha male lumberjack in more ways than one.

Lurking beneath the flannel and beard could be the heart of a romantic. Or is John a wolf in flannel clothing?

After his favorite neighbor rents out her cabin for the winter, John finds himself playing fireman and tour guide to Diane Watson, a beautiful brunette with her own messy past and recent battle scars.

Will he be ready to fall in love? Or will he fall back into his old, flirty ways?

Hold onto your heart... and get ready to fall with John Day as he tells his story in this contemporary romance/romantic comedy told in male POV.

This is a spin-off from Geoducks Are for Lovers. It is not necessary to read that novel first.

Every girl always dreams about meeting that handsome rugged man in flannel with a big beard that would pick them off their feet and give into all their dreams and fantasies. That is what the main character in this book John did for the woman in this small little town where everybody knew everybody business. You find out why John is still living the life as a bachelor and how he is atrracted to woman that are still married but they are going to get a divorce. John is interested in this beautiful woman and they start dating. He thinks they are going to get a divorce but finds out she didn't want that at all. So he ends it with her. Then one night while in his own house. He sees smoke coming from his neighbors cabin but he knows she left town to spend it with her on again and off again boyfriend. He rushes over there and helps the mystery woman that is staying in the cabin. She tells John that she is renting out the cabin from John friend because she is going through a divorce. Every place that John goes to he ends up running into this beautiful woman. He finds out her name is Diane and she has secrets and she likes to hide because her clothes. He is always picking on her for wearing this baggy gray sweater.

Through out this story you are always cheering on John to make the moves to Diane and you always are cheering Diane to make the moves to John. You feel like you need to come between them and help them find their way to each other. The author wrote a beautiful story that I loved loved so much. It was a page turner and I would love to read another book by this author again.
