The creative writing teacher, the delivery guy, the local Starbucks baristas, his best friend, her roommate, and the squirrel in the park all have one thing in common—they believe that Gabe and Lea should get together. Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is reserved, Gabe has issues, and despite their initial mutual crush, it looks like they are never going to work things out. But somehow even when nothing is going on, something is happening between them, and everyone can see it. Their creative writing teacher pushes them together. The baristas at Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV show. Their bus driver tells his wife about them. The waitress at the diner automatically seats them together. Even the squirrel who lives on the college green believes in their relationship.

Surely Gabe and Lea will figure out that they are meant to be together...

A Little Something Different was indeed something different and I truly enjoyed it. It was such a sweet, funny and adorable read. I don’t know how she did it. If you know me, I am not a fan of multiple of point of views. I usually cannot keep up. Either I am confused or totally forget about the character…. Well… I have no clue how Sandy Hall did this because I was able to keep up with all 14 perspectives. Yes you read right, 14. Not sure if it was weather that day. Since I live in South Florida, summer includes bipolar days, sun or rain. Or both.  It was raining when I picked up A Little Something Different and well I read it in one seat. It was the perfect read for this kind of weather.

A Little Something Different is a love story of two people who are into each other but who keep misleading each other. The people around them, which comes the 14 perspective, noticed their chemistry and attraction. They tell us about our main characters. They tell us how their story unfolds. This is such a unique way to tell a love story. The only downfall of the story is that we do not get to know our main characters. Yet, the story is so cute that at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. Fast and easy, A Little Something Different is the perfect book to read in one seat.
