There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up.

Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs.

The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost.

Friends can betray.
Mothers can disappear.
Visions can mislead.
Certainties can unravel.

Confession time: I am in love with Maggie’s writing. Like in LOVE. Her words are lyrics to my ears. When I found out that I was finally going to meet her this November at the Miami Book Fair, I just couldn’t handle my joy. I was exploding like fireworks. Seriously. So I am heartbroken to say I did not enjoy Blue Lily, Lily Blue as I hoped.

I cannot say much about the plot, as the summary itself gives the story away. Blue Lily, Lily Blue picks up where it left off. Blue’s mother is still missing and the boys are helping her find her. Also, our prep boys and Blue continue their quest to find the sleeping king Glendower. Along wiith their journey, we meet new characters. Very interesting characters, one even helps Blue discover hidden powers. The gang are close to achieving their goals but as always, we are left hanging! I must say the one thing that was missing was the romance.

Overall, Blue Lily, Lily Blue is beautifully written, just like the other books of this series. The cliffhanger left me wanting for more. I would like to see what Blue will do with her new discovery. And of course, I would love to see her happy with her true love.
