From #1 "New York Times "bestselling author Abbi Glines comes a brand-new Rosemary Beach novel about Tripp Newark and his hidden romantic past with Bethy Lowry.

In the eyes of the wealthy playboys who frequent Kerrington Country Club in Rosemary Beach, Tripp Newark is a hero. Under pressure from his parents to become a lawyer and lead a conservative, upper-class life, Tripp disappeared from town five years ago to travel the world, forfeiting the opportunity to inherit millions. Yet few know what he was really running from...

Bethy Lowry was unraveling long before her boyfriend drowned in a riptide trying to save her after she'd had one too many drinks--again. A trailer park kid working as a cart girl among the wealthy patrons of Kerrington Country Club, Bethy has always been impressionable. But five years ago, before she earned her reputation as a hard-drinking, easy girl, she had spent a single summer with Tripp Newark that changed her life forever...

This is a New Adult romance novel recommended for ages 18+ due to sexual content and mature subject matter.

As a proud member of the Abbi Army and a complete lover of The Rosemary Beach series, I have been waiting for this book for what feels like FOREVER. I’ve absolutely loved Bethy from the very beginning and I have been waiting for her book for far too long, especially after Jace’s accident and Bethy breaking down, I was ready for her happy ending.

So when we enter You Were Mine we already know that Bethy and Tripp have a past and it didn’t end in the prettiest way and Bethy is completely consumed with regret and sorrow over Jace’s death. So Abbi takes us back eight years to show us when everything happened, and what exactly went down when Bethy and Tripp first met, which I absolutely loved seeing the guys when they were younger, getting in trouble, being playboys. While we’re getting flashbacks we’re seeing current day where Tripp is always making sure Bethy is okay, getting home safe, getting to work safely, basically making sure she is safe at all times. Bethy tries her hardest to get Tripp to leave her alone, but she knows deep down it’s a relief to know that he’s there, and he cares. And since they run around with the same friends, or she’s worked with every girl that is now married with a Rosemary Beach playboy, she is constantly running into Tripp, opening old wounds.

I feel like I have been waiting for this for so long, I ate this book up in a couple of hours and barely blinked and then it was over. And that’s probably my only complaint with this book, it was too short! I needed more, I wanted more, GIVE ME MORE BETHY AND TRIPP. After seeing Bethy hurt so much for so long it was so wonderful to see her love and be loved again. It’s always fun to see our past couples in our new books and we definitely got a lot of them in this book.

If you’re a fan of Abbi, obviously read this, if you’re a fan of fun sexy books, read this, love a little angst and drama, read this. I always eat up Abbi’s books when I get my hands on them, and always recommend them to my friends once I’ve finished, You Were Mine is no different.
