Wilhelmina has a hundred identities.

She is a princess. When the Indigo Kingdom conquered her homeland, Wilhelmina and other orphaned children of nobility were taken to Skyvale, the Indigo Kingdom’s capital. Ten years later, they are the Ospreys, experts at stealth and theft. With them, Wilhelmina means to take back her throne.

She is a spy. Wil and her best friend, Melanie, infiltrate Skyvale Palace to study their foes. They assume the identities of nobles from a wraith-fallen kingdom, but enemies fill the palace, and Melanie’s behavior grows suspicious. With Osprey missions becoming increasingly dangerous and their leader more unstable, Wil can’t trust anyone.

She is a threat. Wraith is the toxic by-product of magic, and for a century using magic has been forbidden. Still the wraith pours across the continent, reshaping the land and animals into fresh horrors. Soon it will reach the Indigo Kingdom. Wilhelmina’s magic might be the key to stopping the wraith, but if the vigilante Black Knife discovers Wil’s magic, she will vanish like all the others

Jodi Meadows introduces a vivid new fantasy full of intrigue, romance, dangerous magic, and one girl’s battle to reclaim her place in the world.

Wilhelmina has lost everything and plans on taking it all back. In order to do that she must become friends with the enemy. Infiltrating the enemy will help her in finding out the information she needs in order to gain back control of what is hers. It helps that she has magical abilities, although using them is against the rules.

I am so in love with this story. I couldn't put the book down, it had me hooked from the beginning. You get thrown into an adventure right away, and from there you're taken on a ride. It's such a fun adventure to be taken on as well. Wilhelmina is a woman with incredible will power. To be able to spy on the enemy, there are many times where the character lets you know that she is angry with what is being said around her. And although she is angry she finds ways to say the right thing. She is cunning, that's the only real way to put it.

The story has only just begun, I cannot wait for the sequel. I want to find out what happens, and I want to find out what happens now! All of the characters make you fall in love with them, from Wil to Melanie. Even Black Knife. Black Knife-Wil's long time nemesis who always pops up out of nowhere. The first time I was introduced to him I was sad when he left. I almost wanted the story to just follow him, he seemed like a fun character.
