The story of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment's Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. Continuously unsuccessful at keeping these masters-from T. rex to Napoleon-the Minions find themselves without someone to serve and fall into a deep depression. But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he-alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob-ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. The trio embarks upon a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock), the world's first-ever female super-villain. They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind...from annihilation. Featuring a soundtrack of hit music from the '60s that still permeates our culture today, Minions is produced by Illumination's Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda. Brian Lynch has written the screenplay for the 3D-CG comedy adventure, and Chris Renaud serves as executive producer of the film.

I honestly didn’t think I could love the Minions more than I already did, but they once again stole my heart with this film. I could not stop laughing from start to finish it was simply adorable. The smile that was on my face from start to finish did not waver even after I left the theater. It’s such a contagious type of film that if you aren’t laughing or smiling throughout the film than you seriously need to get your laugh bone checked out.

We find ourselves being transported back be for the dawn of time. The minions were here long before man and have been searching for a master just as long. From T-Rex to undead (Dracula anyone?) to man something tragic always seems to happen and tear them apart. In the end they find themselves creating their own little village and seem somewhat content just being together. That is until time, boredom and depression set in. This is where we find our three leads Kevin, Bob and Stuart. Kevin has decided it is time to go out into the world in search of a master worthy of the minions.

Michael Keaton and Allison Janney as Walter and Madge Nelson stole every scene they were in. I could not get enough of the family of robbers. I seriously wish they had more screen time. Jon Hamm as Herb Overkill the hipster husband of Scarlett Overkill (Sandra Bullock) boy was he a joy to watch on screen. Nothing could top the trio (Pierre Coffin) though. Kevin, our fearless leader, he has lead us down the journey of finding the most feared villain. Never once did he waver. Stuart, our most laid back minion. He volunteered for this trip without even knowing what it was really about. He just liked the fact that it made everyone happy. Last but not least my personal favorite Bob. All I have to say is-- Long may King Bob reign!

If you’re looking for a good laugh and some awesome tones (the soundtrack is pretty amazing) make sure to head out to the theaters and catch the minions in action! Minions is sure to appeal to all, from young to old, you will all be highly entertained. With tons of laughs and an extra nod to the original, new and old fans alike are sure to love this installment.
