Summary: (from goodreads) The Moon And The Tide is book # 2 in the Marina's Tales series.Just when things seem to be all figured out, Marina discovers that there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than she ever imagined. When a terrible accident exposes her secret, she discovers that her whole life has been one big lie, and has to cope with more than one kind of betrayal.
A dangerous enemy arrives on the scene, putting her bravery to the test and forcing her to use all of her new-found talents to protect her family. Will good win out over evil? Can love triumph over jealousy?

I love the way Derrolyn Anderson continues this book. There isn't alot that I can say that wont give away most of whats happened in the first book or big spoilers for this one.

The Moon and the Tide brought back alot of the great characters plus a few new ones. i loved that Shayla was brought back and she has found a new purpose in life instead of just being a bully. Cruz is still around with his very self centered-ness but you can't help but love him.

Marina has alot on her plate in the second book of the Marina's tales series. Marina has a dilemma on her hands that's shes trying to manage. She knows she will never choose to be a mermaid for the rest of her life, but with some mishaps in her relationship with Ethan she gets the need to be in the water every second. She gets into some dangerous positions and ends up having her every move watched. Even though shes trying to keep everything together she finds out of huge secret that someone in her life has been keeping from her.

This books is just as good as the last and plus a new added bonus. Some thrill and intrigue. Good book and i cant wait for book three :)

Summary: (from goodreads) Something extraordinary is lurking in the deep ocean waters off the coast of Aptos, California. Just a few weeks after moving to the beach town, sixteen year-old Marina has nearly drowned twice, enchanted the hottest guy in high school, and discovered a supernatural creature. If she can manage to survive her increasingly dangerous encounters with unpredictable mermaids, she might just be able to unlock the mystery of her past and learn how to appease the mysterious forces that seem to want something from her... and maybe even find true love along the way.

Marina has lived her whole life travelling with her father, but her senior year he decides to send her to experience school and interact with people her age. She is loathe to the idea of spending it somewhere other than with her father and her amazing "Aunt Evie", but when she gets to Aptos she reconnects with her cousin Cruz and her Aunt Abby. She really connects with the beach but ends up having some freak accidents which then leads her to meet Ethan who is a very gorgeous goal-oriented guy.

I loved the book, and Derrolyn has a way of painting a beautiful picture and draws you in right away with mystery involving Marinas mother and mermaids. Cruz and his best friend Megan make spectacular secondary characters in the book as does a few others that you meet along the way. Ethan also makes for an amazing guy and is very protective and the relationship Marina and Ethan have blossoms right before your eyes and its wonderful.

By the end of the book I couldn't put it down so I could see how she resolved the mystery. I will definitely be reading the second book. :)
