I am not a big fan of zombies in books, TV shows, or movies but I couldn't help but be drawn to the movie adaptation of this book and let me tell you, I freaking loved it! Which is what pushed me to want to read the book and I'm so glad I did!
On top of not being a zombie fan, I've never read Jane Austen's original Pride and Prejudice nor have I seen any of the movies, but I found this spin incredibly amusing! Every so often I found myself laughing out loud at some moments that transpire between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. Their dynamic and the way it changes from their first encounter to their last is fun to read, especially with the added obstacle of battling zombies along the way. However, I couldn't stand Mrs. Bennett AT ALL, which is honestly what prevented me from giving this book the full 5 stars and had her role been any bigger, I probably wouldn't have finished reading the book. I'm excited to read the sequel and see what happens next, although I've already been MAJORLY spoiled, I still want to read it very badly!
All in all, this book was a fun read and now I want to read the original story and see how much is the same and how much is different, besides the obvious zombie factor.
