Mistress of All Evil: A Tale of the Dark Fairy

Villains Series, Book #4

By Serena Valentino

Published October 3rd 2017

Recommended for ages 9+

Thanks to Disney-Hyperion for sending me a set of VILLAINS books, and for providing a prize pack!

About Mistress of All Evil (Book #4): Why does Maleficent curse the innocent princess? What led to her becoming so filled with malice, anger, and hatred? Many tales have tried to explain her motives. Here is one account, pulled down from the many passed down through the ages. It is a tale of love and betrayal, of magic and reveries. It is a tale of the Mistress of All Evil.

About the Series: The Disney Villains series by Serena Valentino explores how the antagonists in Disney movies became some of storytelling's most iconic villains. In the first four Villains books, we see how the Evil Queen, the Beast, Ursula, and Maleficent fall into darkness, through the instigation of the mysterious Odd Sisters: Lucinda, Martha, and Ruby.

What are your "WICKED" Halloween plans this season?

This year I'll be attending a Halloween party themed "Shipwreck on KilliGan's Island!" Get it? Like the old TV series "Gilligan's Island". My friend and I will be dressing up as characters from the movie Black Swan that starred Natalie Portman. I will be the Black Swan (the evil one of course) and my friend will be the White Swan (the innocent one).

I have always wanted to be Maleficent for Halloween, maybe next year I'll finally do it. I absolutely love the Maleficent that Angelia Jolie portrays in 2014's Maleficent. So what are your costume(s) for this Halloween? Share in the comments below.
