Hi there and welcome to our 1st battle of Who's the bigger fan? Here at OUaT, two of our reviewers are big Harry Potter fans. Ana and Tammy both claim to be the most devoted fan ever. So you know me and contest, I love them. I ask both of them to give us 10 reason they are Harry Potter's #1 fan. The fun part will be that the followers will decided who they think is the bigger fan.
First up Ana:
1. I have read all the books
2. I have watched all the movies
3. I have all the movies and when the last one comes out on DVD, I will buy them all again so they come in that special package, which I'm sure will be awesome!!
4. I waited in line outside of Target to be the first one to buy the last book (The Deathly Hallows)
5. I read The Deathly Hollows in two days!!
6. On my 7 year wedding anniversary, I told my husband that all I wanted was to go to Islands of Adventure and see "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" As soon as I walked into the park, I skipped all the other rides and just walked straight there. What an amazing place. Loved it!!
7. I've drank "butterbeer"
8. I got my wand at Ollivander's Wand Shop (I got the Elder wand) LOL
9. I've drank Pumpkin Juice. (Not too tasty at all. Butterbeer is waaaaaay better!)
10. And last but not least, I have defended and will continue to defend Harry Potter against all my non-Potter friends that make fun of me because of my love for the books and the movies. They just don't understand how awesome these stories are. Bunch of haters!!! LOL And I will make sure that when my kids grow up, they will read all the books too just like their mommy did.
And now Tammy:
1. My family goes all glassy eyed when I start talking about Harry Potter (because they are tired of hearing about all things Potter).
2. My dream vacation is a month at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida (I will get there…some day).
3. I am still waiting for my owl with my invitation to Hogwarts. **sigh**
4. I completely lose my mind every time I see any kind of HP news, new merchandise, and have even been to a few midnight release parties.
5. I have a ton of HP stuff (jewelry, stickers, wand, stuffed animals, clothes, etc.), and also make Harry Potter inspired jewelry.
6. I've participated on numerous HP fansites (Leaky, MuggleNet, HPQuest, Chamber of Chat), and met some of my best friends from all over the world on one of them.
7. I've read the entire series, listened to the audiobooks, and watched the movies more times than I can remember.
8. I loved, I laughed and I enjoyed the wonder from the moment of discovery and I cried when it ended (heck, I'm still crying).
9. I'm currently enjoying sharing the magic with my son (he has been watching the movies with me and we started reading the books together). We're going to meet Tom Felton in Naperville this coming Sunday. Can't wait!!
10. I've met J.K. Rowling, shook her hand, and received a signed copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (that she signed right in front of me) **faints**.
