In the beginning of this book, I was about to give it my 100 page test as it did not spark my interest. However as I continued reading, it caught more of my attention. The story line is intriguing, romantic, historical, paranormal and has time traveling. I always had an interest in tribes. Their cultures, survival and battle techniques and the way they lived and this book satisfied all of that. In the future, Ethan Gray is a curator who works in a museum In Washington, D.C. In the past, he is Meko. A leader of the Cheyenne tribe who he has pledged his life to protect. He travels through time to help his people in an upcoming war but was caught off guard when he falls in love with Francesca an enemy to the Cheyenne. I do not want to give off too many details as you must read it to fully understand. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it.

Summary: A decadent-looking savage has captured Francesca DuVall and her brother, Marsh. Now she must spend every waking moment planning an escape. She didn’t count on the powerful draw of desire interfering with her scheme in the camp of the brutal Cheyenne dog soldiers.

Ethan Gray is a curator at a national museum...most of the time, but when he travels through time to help his beloved People he becomes Meko, leader of the most revered and feared tribe of the plains. Although their worlds are decades apart Meko can’t resist the dark beauty he kidnapped during a raid. He has many battles to fight but none he wants to win more than the one that will capture Cesca’s heart forever.

From the windswept plains of Colorado and the harsh life of a Dog Soldier to the placid life of a curator their love was fueled by passion and kindled by destiny. (from Goodreads)
