Movie Review: Due Date

Due Date
Director: Todd Phillips
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Juliette Lewis, Jamie Foxx
Runtime: 95 mins
Rating: R
Released: November 5th 2010

Plot: (from IMDB) High-strung father-to-be Peter Highman is forced to hitch a ride with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay on a road trip in order to make it to his child's birth on time.

This is definitely a comedy with a dry, dark sense of humor to it. The plot is a bit overwhelming with all the things that go wrong for this future Dad to get to his pregnant wife, some you can say are unrealistic. The chemistry between Peter (Robert) and Ethan (Zach) work for me. I will tell you some of the scenes its a laugh so hard you cry but then some missed the funny factor. This movie is great for both Men and Women to see, just don't let the kids. I'm glad I waited for DVD release.

  2. I watched this a couple weeks ago. Didn't like all the language and some of the scenes (thus the R 18 rating). Our BluRay copy said PG13 on the back but as it played it indicated the R rating. I hate it when that happens.

It was funny but I wouldn't have rented it had it been marked correctly.
