Summary: (from goodreads) Sometimes sorry isn't enough....

It’s winter break in Ascension, Maine. The snow is falling and everything looks pristine and peaceful. But not all is as it seems...

Between cozy traditions and parties with her friends, Emily loves the holidays. And this year’s even better--the guy she’s been into for months is finally noticing her. But Em knows if she starts things with him, there’s no turning back. Because his girlfriend is Em’s best friend.

On the other side of town, Chase is having problems of his own. The stress of his home life is starting to take its toll, and his social life is unraveling. But that’s nothing compared to what’s really haunting him. Chase has done something cruel...something the perfect guy he pretends to be would never do. And it’s only a matter of time before he’s exposed.

In Ascension, mistakes can be deadly. And three girls—three beautiful, mysterious girls—are here to choose who will pay.

Em and Chase have been chosen. "Achingly gorgeous. Fury seduced me."--Lauren Kate, New York Times bestselling author of Fallen "A fresh dark twist on paranormal, with surprises around every corner. FURY kept me up all night!" --Nancy Holder, NYT Bestselling Author of WICKED and CRUSADE

Let's begin with the cover. How beautiful is this book. The way they made the hair flow what looks to be into fire or mist, is just breath-taking. The dress worn by the model is perfect, makes me want to know where I can buy it. Once you read the book you know who is portrayed in the cover, which is a prefect representation of that character. I can't wait to see the next book in the series who will be on the cover.

You know those sayings "What goes around comes around", "Whatever you send out returns three times" and "As you sew, so shall ye reap". A perfect representation of Karma is personified in this book.  Fury's content is a great book for the YA audience. Elizabeth gives the readers topics such as peer pressure, poverty, bullying and suicide. You read and pick up what happens when you have this issues, from the giving or receiving end. The main message I believe Elizabeth gives in this book is to Think before you act.

While there are strong topics in the book, it doesn't mean that you won't see a thrilling tale in the book. The supernatural and realistic story combine bring to the table a thrilling debut. The story-line will engage you with its chilling plot and not so common characters. The pace throughout the book is enough to keep your interest pique and then at the end it blow up in your face (in a good way). Cliff hanger, yes be ready for it. It's one of those that you wished you had the second book ready to read to know what happens next

Fury is the story of teenagers that lives in Ascension, MA. Just the name of the own is scary sounding to me. The two main characters we follow are Emily "Em" and Chase. These two will come to realize they have been chosen by a group of not so friendly supernatural beings. You might know them as the Furies or Erinyes.  The question is why they have been chosen.

We live thru the lives of Chase and Em as they attend high school. They are your typical high school students that attends parties and run in the popular crowd. Em is having issues because the boy she likes is also her best friend's boyfriend and when said best friend goes on vacation, Em can't stay in control of her emotions. Then Chase meets a gorgeous red-hair beauty he hasn't seen before in ascension. He tries his hardest to hide from everyone that he is one of the poor kids in town by excelling as the all-star quarterback with great looks. SO it doesn't surprise him when Ty the new girl in town likes him. Now while this is all going on they school finds out one of the student tried killing herself by jumping off a bridge in town. Chase questions her actions and thinks it might be his fault in some way. What will happen in Ascension when the 3 furies arrive. Who and how badly will they pay for their faults. Chase and Em will learn that sorry is just not enough sometimes and consequences have to be paid.

What will happen in Envy? I'm very excited to find out.
