Summary: (from goodreads) Luc Cain was born and raised in Hell, but he isn’t feeling as demonic as usual lately—thanks to Frannie Cavanaugh and the unique power she never realized she had. But you can’t desert Hell without consequences, and suddenly Frannie and Luc find themselves targeted by the same demons who used to be Luc’s allies.

Left with few options, Frannie and Luc accept the protection of Heaven and one of its most powerful angels, Gabe. Unfortunately, Luc isn’t the only one affected by Frannie, and it isn’t long before Gabe realizes that being around her is too…tempting. Rather than risk losing his wings, he leaves Frannie and Luc under the protection of her recently-acquired guardian angel.

Which would be fine, but Gabe is barely out the door before an assortment of demons appears—and they’re not leaving without dragging Luc back to Hell with them. Hell won’t give up and Heaven won’t give in. Frannie’s guardian exercises all the power he has to keep them away, but the demons are willing to hurt anyone close to Frannie in order to get what they want. It will take everything she has and then some to stay out of Hell’s grasp.

And not everyone will get out of it alive.

Original Sin's cover, let me say a few words on that. Now that I ave finished reading both Personal Demons and Original Sin the covers depict the books perfectly. To see Luc and Gabe on the covers and there stances and looks are on point. Poor Frannie doesn't stand a chance with these to swoon worthy guys or to be exact Angel and Demon. This series is one of the few that peoples faces on the cover work for it.

I have different methods to tell when a books is outstanding. Original Sin falls under the Telenovela category. What is a Telenovela you might ask. Well its a Spanish style soap opera. If Original Sin was translated into Spanish and turned into a Telenovela, the show would be a hit. There is so much drama and angst in this book, Lisa builds us up and basically throws us to the lions. I kept talking to myself, saying "No she didn't just write that" or "Arg, she is doing it again to us". That's what I called a Top Grade book. The pace is well balanced, you have your highs and lows and then your all over the place moments. This all means you won't be able to put the book down.

Now my review does come with a warning. Yes Original Sin is a YA book. That being said Original Sin brings some very strong and steamy scenes that some teenagers might need a advance warning before you pick up the book. I won't tell anyone not to pick it up, but if your a parent that decided what your teenager can read, I suggest you read this series first then decided. On to the Hot and Steamy, Lisa writes each scene where you get enough for the imagination but not enough to read it and say WOW that was a bit to much. I would love to see Lisa write a adult genre book, maybe a crossover of Personal Demons when they are older. I'm sure I have a few that would agree with me and buy the book.

Now I do write my reviews spoiler free. Of since this is the sequel to Personal Demons there might be content that I will write about that might spoil the story if you haven't read book 1. So you have been warned. Original Sin continues with each characters having their own POV. Frannie and Luc have finally been tagged for Heaven and this should be a cause for celebration. Well not quite, see Luc was born a demon so Hell is not just going to forget about him, Mortal or not. They are actually very curious to know how and who turned Luc into a mortal. Frannie is given a Guardian Angel and Gabe disappears for a while in the book. He just cant concentrate and protect Frannie while in her presence if he doesn't want to loose his wings. Yes Gabe says if there is one person he would loose his wings for, its Frannie. The trouble with Gabe loosing his wings, he wouldn't be fallen and become mortal. See Gabe is a Dominion, which if you Google that, you will read that he was born celestial, like Luc that he was born a Demon. So if Gabe looses his wings, he goes straight to Hell, don't pass go and collect your $50 dollars. That's what terrifies hims and he decided to leave Frannie in charge of her guardian Angel. Now who is that Guardian Angel you ask, you will have to read to find out. I consider that a spoiler.

Now having a guardian Angel should keep Frannie feeling safe. Sort of, Luc notices that the guardian Angel is preoccupied with Luc neighbor and he believes something is going on with them two. There is even a moment that a demon shows up in Frannie's car and her guardian Angel is no where to be seen to protect her. Now this guardian Angel is pretty recent in the angel business, he is having issues desires and temptations. He starts to feel that its not fair he cant have the normal things in life. He also begins to plan against Luc and even makes a deal with a Demon to try and get Luc untagged. The guardian Angel does not want to accept that Frannie has fallen in love with a demon no matter where he is tagged for.

So you have what will happen, will Frannie stayed tagged for Heaven or will Hell some how get her untagged and on their side so they can use her abilities. Will Luc stay mortal and tagged or will temptation ruin it for him. How about Gabe, can he stay away as he though he could, even when Frannie is at her lowest and suffering? Will Frannie continue to blame herself for everyone, now add to her guilt her best friend Taylor. How will the new neighbor Lili matter in all this story and last but not least will the Guardian Angel fight his temptations and protect Frannie.

Thanks to Lisa's writing I have been researching Angels and their different ranks if you might call it that. Im glad to say that now I'm very well informed off all the different Angels that are mentioned in this book and more. O what are you waiting for, you want to know what happen in the story right? Well then go BUY THE BOOK! Have I ever steered you wrong???
