Summary: (from goodreads) My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy — a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.

But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why—especially since I should have been the one who died. . .

"Touch of Frost is an intriguing start to an exciting new series!" —Award-winning author Jeri Smith-Ready

". . .surviving high school means staying alive!" —New York Times bestselling author Kerrelyn Sparks

Touch of Frost gives fans of Greek mythology or really any mythology something to wet their appetites with in this novel. Jennifer created a school where offspring of Spartans warriors, Amazonian people, Valkyrie and other magical people go to learn.  At first you might feel like this is a lot of different people and myth I need to know about. The way Jennifer wrote the story, you get a small crashed course into each legend or myth or person mentioned. You will find yourself googling certain words or people. For instance Nike the Greek goddess of Victory or the God Loki from Norse mythology. Me personally these types of books be it YA or Adult always capture me.

Gwen Frost is a new student at Mythos Academy. She is starting new there after leaving her old school and friends behind after the death of her mother. Gwen's grandmother lives in the town near the academy and well the Frost family is known as Gypsies. Now Gwen might not see it as a good thing she might say she is cursed for having her magical abilities. Gwen has the power of sight. When she touches any object, she sees what the owner of the object has been threw or felt. Gwen feels because her ability she was the cause of her mother's death. So this is one of the many reason Gwen questions how or why she is attending Mythos. What's a gypsy doing in a school that even the bank geek can cut your head of with a knife. How can she compare her psychometry to Spartans or Amazons.

So Gwen notices that things at school start to go down hill you can say. No one really gives her a real answer as to why she attend there, not even her grandmother. She has no friends since she has been enrolled. All she has going for her is that she works at the school's library. That's until the night that she finds the most popular Valkyrie girl from school murdered. Then to make matters worse, The Bowl of Tears has been stolen. But wait it doesn't stop there, the next day she realizes n one really cares about the dead girl. So she set off on this mission to try and uncover why the Bowl of Tears was stolen and who murdered the girl. She just has a strong hunch and something she remembers her mom always taught her, was go with your gut feeling. So let's just say everything now just went up quite a few notches, what will Gwen discover and why is she always bumping in to the scariest Spartan of them all Logan.

Get ready to be stumped and when you think you did figure it out, bam your wrong. I can't wait to read the next installment called Kiss of Frost due out in December.
