Summary: (from goodreads) To save the life of the boy she loves, Jacinda did the unthinkable: She betrayed the most closely-guarded secret of her kind. Now she must return to the protection of her pride knowing she might never see Will again—and worse, that because his mind has been shaded, Will’s memories of that fateful night and why she had to flee are gone.

Back home, Jacinda is greeted with hostility and must work to prove her loyalty for both her sake and her family’s. Among the few who will even talk to her are Cassian, the pride’s heir apparent who has always wanted her, and her sister, Tamra, who has been forever changed by a twist of fate. Jacinda knows that she should forget Will and move on—that if he managed to remember and keep his promise to find her, it would only endanger them both. Yet she clings to the hope that someday they will be together again. When the chance arrives to follow her heart, will she risk everything for love?

In bestselling author Sophie Jordan’s dramatic follow-up to Firelight, forbidden love burns brighter than ever.

Vanish will be that book that keeps you up late into the night reading. Trust me I know. The cover, if you are a fan of the series you should have a idea who that is. I'm hoping the next book might feature one of the guys, will we be so lucky? I can't wait to own the hardcover when it comes out in the bookstores, so I can see the beautiful colors it will showcase.

Vanish begins mere minutes into where Firelight ended. Jacinda is headed back to the pride with her mom and sister after she revealed her true self. Cassian is the driver and not a happy one at that. Jacinda worries what will happen now when she arrives back home. Jacinda also now worries about Will and if being shaded affects him like anyone else, since his blood runs purple like the Draki. If it works and he does get shaded, then he will not remember Jacinda and his promise and he will be lost to her forever. Now you wonder how did Will and the other hunters they encounters going back to the pride get shaded, I wont tell but its a jaw-opener. Once back with the pride, so much has changed because of Jacinda and her family deserting the pride. They have curfews and times when they are allowed to fly. Then add to that Jacinda lost her library job and now must work gutting the food that they are to eat. She gets harassed by Cassian's brother but Cassian does not give up on Jacinda. Even after all the new revealing events he still pins for Jacinda. Of course will this  be enough for Jacinda? The ending will leave you begging for book 3 to be in your hands.

Sophie gave us this new world of the Draki in Firelight that we embraced and now in Vanish we fell in love all over again. The amount of action in Vanish was great, any guy would approve. Then you can't leave out the romance. Girl loves boy, boy loves girl, other boy loves girl, girl doesnt love other boy, girl's sister loves other boy. That's what you call tension to the 9th power. Sophie does not have to worry about the sequel not living up to the first, I can vouch and say its equal or better in a different way.

Usually in this series you pick a team. One of the very sexy guys in the story. Let me tell you, after finsihing Vanish, I dont have a team. I'm undecided as to who won my heart. Is it Cassian, the fearless onyx future alpha or is it Will the hunter with blood that runs purple. They both have powerful stories and actions in Vanish and I think it will be hard to side on either team. I will just have to claim Switzerland and see what book 3 brings for each of them and how will they fight for Jacinda.

So I am positive the majority of you already have Vanish pre-ordered. Now those that don't trust me when I say, you will want to have this beautiful book when its released. Vanish is one of the 2011 books with a mega cliff-hanger and boys that are 100% swoon-worthy.
