Summary: (from goodreads) They don't call him Jackpot for nothing.

Jack has always beat the odds... at least until now. When he was attacked by a werewolf, vampires saved him. When he got tired of living the vampire life, another werewolf attack freed him, making him human again. Now Jack just wants to live a normal life, but what's normal about a hunter girlfriend, a brother who wants to stake him to be on the safe side, and a head werewolf building an army to rule the world?

I haven't read many vampire books other than a handful of other popular series. I love the new aspects K.C. blake brought to being a werewolf / vampire.

Jack is a young kid that was killed by werewolves but was saved by vampires and was turned. He then meets a girl named Silver and gets attacked by another werewolf, but instead of killing him, he is turned back into a human. He now has a second chance at a new life, but the new girl he met is a hunter. Jack and his hunter girlfriend, Silver, are tied to a destiny/prophecy that was in place long ago.

I love that Jack is a young kid getting to live his life over, but then things change drastically for him. It has love and loss and a very unorthodox friendship. I really enjoyed this book except it felt like Jack and Silver fell in love too fast for my liking but other than that I would definitely read the next book in The Rule Series.

  1. This sounds neat. Originality in vampire books is rare now with all the ones that have come out since Twilight. I'll have to check this one out!
