Summary: (from goodreads) Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.

There is.

She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.

She's wrong.

Fellow reviewer, Jenny and I were lucky enough to attend Michelle Hodkin’s book launch party in Miami and get a signed copy of the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Michelle is the sweetest down to earth person you will ever meet. She started off by asking the people in the audience to call out page numbers and she would then read a paragraph out load. It was pretty funny when she was asked to read a hot-and-steamy part of the book in front of her family, who were all there by the way!

WOW!! What an amazing, mind twisting, attention grabbing, read in one day because I couldn’t put it down book!! Michelle seriously knows how to write a book that grabs you from the very beginning and shakes you up during the middle and leaves you in awe and wanting more at the end.

Ok now about the book: Mara doesn’t remember anything about the night where her best friend, boyfriend and boyfriend’s sister died. She has been diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) after the accident and is having a hard time dealing with all the changes. Mara’s parents decide to move to sunny Miami, Florida to get her away thinking that would help her. Mara soon starts having some weird things happening to her and is wondering if her PTSD could be causing it or maybe something else. People that she wished would die are turning up dead and she is freaking out. Then she meets Noah. Oh Noah. Hot and sexy Noah. LOL Noah is everything a girl could ask for. But he comes with a reputation, but for some reason Mara can’t stay away from him and there is an instant connection between them.
I don’t want to say much more about the book because I don’t want to give away all the goodies. But I must say that this is definitely one of the best books I have read this year by far. Enjoy the pictures I took at the book launch party. I totally recommend reading it. So read it, read it!!! LOL
