Summary: (from goodreads) The ‘Antara’ had disappeared... or at least that’s how it seemed, until one night a terrible nightmare will overshadow Asteria’s dreams forever. Some lust for revenge, others hide vital secrets, demonic souls want to corrupt the Aster Island and the merfolk. Where the present unites with the past, where dreams pause to exist, the fight for survival begins. Is love strong enough to face the enemies? The infinite blue of the sea, a sweet song and an angelic soul will be their only hopes to keep their beloved ones alive. After the illustrated novel ‘Antara’, the second and final part of the story follows. A sequel which is going to move you and travel you to heavenly worlds.

Ninemia is the second book in the Antara series and I have to say I enjoyed this one a lot. It was a little more graphic then the first, but the story line was very original. Marilena has a way with words that take you to the fantasy her stories are about. You can honest feel like you are in the book following along with the story. Although the book only had 69 pages, it was a great read.

Five peaceful years have passed is Aster and the merfolks and humans are living together peacefully. That is until a horrible attack takes place and kills the majority of the merfolks and humans alike. Asteria and Orestis, the (king and queen) are kidnapped and learn that Orestis is behind the brutal attack. She will also learn that Orestis has learned of an old tale and is on a mission to make himself the ruler of Aster Island.

Marilena is a phenomenal illustrator. Her illustrations are so real and so beautiful that they just completely bind the story and the pictures together perfectly. I totally recommend it.
