Summary: (from goodreads) Love The Hunger Games? Action-adventure thrillers with a dystopian twist? BZRK (Berserk) by Michael Grant, New York Times best-selling author of the GONE series, ramps up the action and suspense to a whole new level of excitement.

Set in the near future, BZRK is the story of a war for control of the human mind. Charles and Benjamin Armstrong, conjoined twins and owners of the Armstrong Fancy Gifts Corporation, have a goal: to turn the world into their vision of utopia. No wars, no conflict, no hunger. And no free will. Opposing them is a guerrilla group of teens, code name BZRK, who are fighting to protect the right to be messed up, to be human. This is no ordinary war, though. Weapons are deployed on the nano-level. The battleground is the human brain. And there are no stalemates here: It’s victory . . . or madness.

BZRK unfolds with hurricane force around core themes of conspiracy and mystery, insanity and changing realities, engagement and empowerment, and the larger impact of personal choice. Which side would you choose? How far would you go to win?

The world is changing at an alarming pace. Everyday new research and technology is forcing its way into our lives. Most of this technology is made for the greater good of man, but there can be a dark side to such new things.

In BZRK, a revolutionary medical invention is weaponzied, changing the basis of war forever. An evil that wants to rid the world of freedom, lurks in unforeseen places waiting to strike. In its way, stands a group of teenage hackers, who stop at nothing to save the world.

Michael Grant, the renowned author of the Gone series, is extremely well known for his intense writing style. Writing with such a feverish passion, that his scenes in the novel often feel like a thriller-type movie. All of his characters are humanized and brought down to a level that the reader can connect with.

Every part of this book was balanced with a mixture of action, drama and a touch of humor. This book will most definitely cause a lot of hype and I predict will probably be made into a movie one day. I recommend this book as a must read for lovers of exciting things and true page turners until the end!
