Summary: (from goodreads) Mara Dyer once believed she could run from her past.

She can’t.

She used to think her problems were all in her head.

They aren’t.

She couldn’t imagine that after everything she’s been through, the boy she loves would still be keeping secrets.

She’s wrong.

In this gripping sequel to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, the truth evolves and choices prove deadly. What will become of Mara Dyer next?

Mara Dyer is back! Seriously if I thought The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer was a complete mind (fill in the blank), I was proven wrong with the sequel. If you don't know what I mean by that, here is an urban dictionary definition: A mind-blowing, confusing situation; a perplexity, a paradox, or an enigma. I say that in a positive way. So imagine when I tell you that The Evolution of Mara Dyer just took it to a higher level. Michelle Hodkin can write people and she gets deep into your bones with her prose. Michelle gives even more into these pages. She puts the readers mind through a grinder. A great paced sequel with equal parts romance and thriller.

The Evolution of Mara Dyer will finally begin to answer some of those question we were left thirsty for an answer. Of course with that kind of fulfillment, you end up with more debt so to say. So new questions take form. The chemistry between Mara and Noah is electrifying in the sequel. So much to describe yet so little time to explain. Plus I don't want to give you a 10,000 word count review.

Mara continues to have to try and fake what she sees and knows so she looks to be a normal girl. Even with all that hard work, she doesn't sell it that she is not crazy. Mara will have some serious changes happen in her life all the while trying to figure out if certain events did take place. She needs to prove what she has seen and get more believing, but its hard when you have had all doors close on you. Noah will be there as much as he can, but even a bond that tight gets tested. Will Mara be left with no one to trust or believe her? How will she dissect everything she will learn?

Least favorite part of the book, is that it ended. Ha! I wanted more. Michelle really leaves that want high with a cliff hanger like this sequel has. Man, I tell ya, If I had a physical copy I would have chuck the book at the wall. The iPad saved the book chucking. Kudos once again to Michelle and her genius writing. Now again I begin the waiting game. TICK-TOCK!!!

  5. I got halfway through this book and put it aside because I hate not knowing what in the heck is going on! I need to pick it back up and keep going--maybe I was just having a frustrating week.
