About Chantele: Chantele Sedgwick grew up playing the harp and singing. Little did anyone know, she always had stories floating around in her head. After she had her second baby, she finally realized she should probably write them down. Pursuing publication was something she only dreamed about, but now her dream is coming true.

The discovery of a first love, first kisses, and the many emotions teens go through, pushed Chantele to find her niche in writing teen fiction. Some of her stories share a few of her own experiences, but most of them are just fantasies she wished happened to her as a teen. She's a sucker for a great love story and always enjoys a happy ending. She tends to have a thing for the "bad boys" in books, unless they're total jerks. Then she'll root for the good guy.

When she's not writing, Chantele can be found spending time with her husband and three beautiful kids, or driving her sisters crazy with random story ideas. NOT YOUR AVERAGE FAIRY TALE is her first book

Summary: (from Author) Ash Summerland has it all–good looks, popularity, and the best grades at The Academy of Magical Beings. Ready to complete his last assignment in order to graduate, Ash is confident he will get the apprenticeship he wants. When he opens the letter from the Council, he is shocked to discover he has been assigned to apprentice Lady Shenelle, Keeper of Happy Endings. A.K.A. the head fairy godmother. Ash is forced to grant three wishes to a troubled human girl named Kendall, and ultimately give her a "happy ever after". But Kendall turns out to be more than he bargained for. Still grieving over her father's death, Kendall doesn't want anything to do with him. And worst of all, she doesn't believe in happy endings.

The Academy of Magical Beings has a new class set to graduate and final internships are being handed out. Ash Summerland is at the top of his graduating class. He is smart, hot and he has big plans to be a Sandman until Lady Shanelle, Keeper of Happy Endings throws him a curve. He will be her intern and that makes him....a fairy godmother!?! His nemesis Dax was awarded the coveted Sandman internship. Ash is ticked off, embarrassed and totally NOT on board but soon finds himself facing an uncertain future if he doesn't capitulate.

His assignment is Kendall Corrigan. He is to grant her three wishes. Ash decides to dive in (without tights!), get the job done and get out. Then get back on track for the coveted job of Sandman. Only Kendall doesn't prove to be easily manipulated. First, she doesn't believe in Happy Endings. She is dealing with the death of her father and nothing feels like it will ever be ok again. Next, she thinks Ash is a stalker. Gorgeous, maybe, but a wierdo nonetheless. Besides, she still has feelings for Cameron but she has managed to push him and her best friend Tessa away while she grieves for her dad and the carefree life she no longer feels part of.

The attraction between Kendall and Ash is immediate, but unwanted on both sides. Ash is forbidden to get physical with his "assignment" and Kendall doesn't want to feel much of anything. Her first wish; To be treated by friends the way she was treated prior to her fathers death, is wished for and granted. Shocked that it really works Kendall struggles to make her next two wishes worthwhile. Ash finds himself completely smitten with Kendall and suddenly isn't in a big hurry to end their time together by finishing up her wishes.

Craziness and romance ensue as these two likable characters struggle to find their own identities while learning a thing or two about love.

Chantele Sedgwick created a funny, sassy and unique story with adorable characters you found yourself routing for. It was an enjoyable book that left a smile on my face. It is the perfect Young Adult Genre book that you can safely recommend without any worries.
