Summary: (from goodreads) BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY...
THEY GET EVEN.

Lillia has never had any problems dealing with boys who like her. Not until this summer, when one went too far. No way will she let the same thing happen to her little sister.

Kat is tired of the rumours, the insults, the cruel jokes. It all goes back to one person– her ex-best friend– and she's ready to make her pay.

Four years ago, Mary left Jar Island because of a boy. But she's not the same girl anymore. And she's ready to prove it to him.

Three very different girls who want the same thing: sweet, sweet revenge. And they won't stop until they each had a taste.

Before I even start my synopsis of Burn for Burn I want to just say WOW. I was completely and totally absorbed from the first page! I started panicking as I detected that the story would leave me hanging and I can't fathom that I have no idea when there will be a second book. This story was better then Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl and Glee all rolled into one deliciously guilty pleasure ~ With an incredibly important real world message that isn't shoved down your throat, but settles over you layer by layer.

Lillia, Kat and Mary are nothing alike. They don't hang out with the same people or go to the same parties. They certainly don't belong to the same cliques in school. But here is what they do have in common: they all three live on Jar Island, attend the local high school and they all three have a burning need to seek out revenge on three separate people for three separate reasons. And when these girls get together and start plotting nothing will ever be the same. The story keeps you spellbound as the chapters alternate points of view between Lillia, Kat and Mary.

Mary's family has lived on Jar Island for generations until a life altering situation caused her parents to take Mary and leave the island. Now Mary has returned to face the fears that almost cost her everything including her life. Unrecognizable from the overweight bullied child that left the island at the age of 12, Mary has come back a strong, slim and pretty 17 year old. Everything she has been through since leaving Jar Island has lead her back to this moment. The moment when she will face her demon and he has a name, Reeve. Reeve needs to pay for the pain he inflicted on Mary no matter what the cost and when Mary gets upset strange things start to happen around her.

Kat is an islander, born and raised. She and Rennie have been inseparable best friends since childhood. Along with other local kids like Alex, PJ, Derek and Reeve they have grown up living on the island year round. Rennie and Reeve were always the unspoken leaders with their strong personalities and focus as the years went by. Things started to change when the wealthy Cho family decided to move in to their summer vacation home year round. Lillia, a beautiful Asian girl became one of the gang, a move that was encouraged by Kat even against Rennie's weak protests. So Kat was really shocked and devastated to find herself unilaterally ostracized by Rennie after a minor argument. She has never defended herself against all the lies and rumors that Rennie spread about her and maybe even more painful to her was the fact that she became an outsider to the entire group. It was also the time in her life that she found out her mother was sick and dying. Kat then rebelled against all things Rennie. She is now seen as the hard core rocker chick to Rennie's cheer leading and overachieving personality. But Kat is sick of the abuse and ready to take a stand. She wants Rennie to pay and she wants revenge.

Lillia is the pretty little rich girl that took Kat's place. Originally, she became the third member of the group friendship with Rennie and Kat. But, in typical fashion when there are three friends, sometimes one friend can be pushed out over time. So as easy as changing a sweater for Rennie, Kat was out. Lillia never spoke up for Kat but followed Rennies lead. Over the years the two girls started spending more time with Reeve, the high school star quarterback and Alex, Reeve's best friend and football team mate. But when all signs point to something sneaky and inappropriate going on between Alex and Lillia little sister, Nadia, Lillia is distraught. To make matters worse it looks like Alex, who has always been close with Lillia, has been hooking up with Kat as well as Nadia. Alex needs to pay for taking advantage of Nadia and Lillia's trust.

When fate throws these three angry girls together, a clear bargain is struck and secret promises are made. They will each help in the humiliation and down fall of the ones they feel have betrayed each of them. With all three participating in each clever and devious scheme they are assured of each others loyalty even as they plot against life long friends. But once things are set in motion they can take on a life of their own with devastating consequences.

Any publisher bought the rights to that book, but I'd like to read this book NOW! It's better than Pretty Little Liars, OMG!
