Author Bio: Hi, I'm Emma. I am happily married with two lovely children. I have always loved reading and writing and after much debate decided to self publish my debut novel Witchblood in January 2012, the sequel Witchcraft was published in June 2012 & WitchLove is the third installment.

I began writing paranormal YA fiction after acquiring an obsessive love of supernatural teen novels...yes I'm a Twilight fan...I decided to write my own supernatural story based here in Manchester in the UK, near where I live and grew up. Except I couldn't decide whether to write about vampires or witches, so I chose both! In the High Peak it's often dark, windy, cold and very very wet... and easy to get inspiration!

Summary: (from goodreads) With the reappearance of a lost love, Jess flees to the only people who can help her control her increasing powers and gain independence – her family’s coven. But with a bruised heart can Jess learn to forgive or will she find new love in the United States? Witchlove, the third installment of the Witchblood series, is a new adventure that takes Jess from New England to Voodoo country in the South.

First I want to say that I am a big fan of Emma Mills entire Witchblood Series. I was very happy to hear that Ms. Mills had chosen to add a fourth book even though originally this series was slotted to be a trilogy. I believe that her next book Witch Hunt will be another success.

Witch Love picks up with Jessica James three months after the devastating deaths of her best friend, Alex, along with Eva and her sire, Daniel, the vampire she had been in love with. They died when a null bomb was used. A null bomb is an efficient way of destroying any supernatural evidence. Once the null bomb has been detonated, any and all things supernatural are rendered to dust. Jess' grief was punctuated with moments where she was sure she still felt some little spark of a connection with Daniel. But Sebastian, the leader of the Northern district, convinced her that Eva and Daniel did not make it out alive before the bomb detonated.

Now it was time for Jessica, who is unique because she is half vampire and half witch, to confirm the facts of the incident that had already been given to the Council regarding the death of Prince Cole, the southern vampire leader who had tried to rape her. All involved assured her that this would just be a formality as it was clear that Jess killed Cole in self defense. In fact Jessica almost lost her own life in the process. If it wasn't for Luke allowing Jessica to feed when Daniel failed to arrive in time to save her, Jessica would never have made it through the tragedy alive. Now Luke and Brittany, a new friend who is also a witch, are going to the Council meeting with Jessica because both had been present during the event. Others were also present at the Counsel hearing, along with Sebastian there was a witch that Jess knew must belong to the Malden Coven, known now to be Jess' ancestors.

As the proceedings began, the statements were being read aloud as the boring minutes passed. But as none of the facts had changed since the original statements were given the council was almost immediately ready to render a verdict. As Jessica's fate was being decided a voice broke through the proceedings....Daniel Summers, who until this moment was presumed dead, stepped forward. Not only was he alive, but he interjected that he wanted guardianship of Jessica. As the reality of Daniel and Eva's deception was revealed Jessica knew that she would have to distance herself from Daniel and his jealousy. Going to the United States as a ward of the Malden Coven seemed the best solution and when the coven also agreed to sponsor Brittany the decision was made.

The adjustment to life with the Coven was interesting but challenging. Not everyone was thrilled with hosting a vampire within the Coven. But as her aunt trained her to use her magic, her extraordinary power started to reveal itself. But the balance between good magic and dark magic was difficult to keep under control. With her aunts guidance and Brittany's help she began to master spells at each level. She then meets Noah and he proposes a plan to help get his twin sister Susannah to return home by letting Jess feed on him. Noah was sure that when his twin "felt" the feeding through their twin bond that she would eventually come back. After 3 weeks of living off bagged blood, Jess was tempted but avoided Noah because she felt it was wrong to fed off him. But Noah kept pressing and in a moment of weakness Jessica succumbs and immediately Susannah appears angry and defiant along with their mother. After accusations are hurled back and forth the truth of how Noah tricked Jess into feeding off him and his purpose is finally revealed.

As the friendship grows between Jess and Noah, he arranges a way for Jess to get into a club where she can feed properly through his connections with an former vampire girlfriend, India. But underneath it all Jess wonders if she will ever stop missing and loving Daniel. When Daniel shows up begging forgiveness and promising to stay with Jessica no matter what the circumstances, Jess will have to make a choice, but that all takes a back seat when Noah informs Jess that Brittany has left for Louisiana to find her Voodoo family. Jessica takes off through the ley-lines to find Brittany. But is it a loving family that awaits Brittany in Louisiana or does her family coven have something sinister in mind for Brittany and Jess? Even after Jess witnesses a voodoo ritual, which she fears will have some kind of effect on Brittany, things seem to go on as normal until midway through October when Jess starts to notice subtle changes in Brittany. Sure that Brittany's grandmothers ritual is behind her strange behavior, Jess contacts Noah to come help her.

Through everything Jess recognizes that she still feels a pull toward Daniel. She aches for him, thinks of him every night. But Jess knows that her focus has to be Brittany because something is terribly wrong. Noah and Susannah convince Jess that a cleansing ritual must be performed. Convinced it was successful, all chaos breaks out as Brittany disappears immediately before the witch licensing ritual is to begin. Even knowing that Brittany's disappearance could be a trap for the Louisiana coven to get their hands on Jessica, she knows that she must go to find her. But Jess realizing that she can't do this on her own goes to her aunt for help. With Susannah and Aunt Sarah by her side they head through the ley lines to find Brittany. In the end will they be strong enough to go up against this Louisiana coven with all their dark magic? And while Daniel and Jessica have renewed their devotion to each other would he be able to get to Jessica before the dark magic destroys her? These are the questions that are only answered in the last few pages of a book that you just can't turn the pages on fast enough.

Once again, Emma Mills captivates and titillates us with an action packed story that you will find impossible to put down. The incredibly well rounded characters each take you on a separate journey that has you on the edge of your seat and biting your nails! So enjoyable and well written. Well done!
