Summary: (from goodreads) Silencing Breath, book two in the Stealing Breath series.

Just as Sarah Ross is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an Indigo Child and settling into a normal life with her beloved Evan, her entire world shatters when Evan disappears without a trace.

Desperate to find him, Sarah’s search leads her to a sadistic serial killer who confirms her worst fears are true; Evan has been kidnapped, and he is once again in the clutches of his abusive family of necromancers.

Sarah uncovers not only Evan's dark past he tried so desperately to protect her from, but also The Key of Solomon, an ancient text for summoning the dead.

Knowing her abilities are limited in the face of this ancient power, Sarah is forced to face the Malandanti in order to save him. However, one question remains: once he is found, will Evan be the same man she fell in love with?

A while ago I read the first book to this sequel and I loved it so much. The sequel was so much better then the first one because it described a lot more information about some of the characters in the book. I fell in love with the main character Sarah and Evan right from the beginning. But in this book Sarah finds out the truth about her soon to be husband Evan. Plus Sarah didn't know that there was a book out there that you can bring the dead back to life. Well Evans brother Stefano brings back their father from the dead and that is when things start to change in Sarah's life. After Stefano brings his father back from the dead they agree about kidnapping Evan and try to change him back to the person he use to be. They don't care if it ruins his relationship with him and Sarah. Sarah ends up working on this important assignment for the school that she works for and her professor is so interested in this prisoner that was just sent to jail. When she arrives to see this prisoner she realizes it's the twin brother of that guy that she ended up killing. She gets all scared and nervous and rushes home to check on Evan. When she gets home she realizes he isn't there and she has the fear that he was kidnapped and might not be seen again. So she gets her friend to tag along with her to find Evan. Well her friend brings some friends with her so they have back up to fight Stefano and his father and try to rescue Evan from his family. Sarah goes off the deep end when she is trying to look for Evan. I would go crazy to if my husband was kidnapped by his brother and his psycho father that was brought back from the dead also. Well she ends up saving Evan and bringing him back home. But the thing is Evan is acting weird like he is empty inside and isn't the same person she fell in love with. Sometimes he will be that Evan and then he changes back to the miserable Evan. They wake up in the morning and Evan kidnaps Sarah and tries to take her hostage but she ends up calling friends to come and get her. She is able to get away from him. So the one thing she wants to do when he friends rescue her is to find Evan and tried to rescue him again because she knows he can be changed back to the way he use to be.

I don't want to keep rambling on and giving you so much details to what happens in the story but if you love action and romance and wrapped up together then you will love this book so much. I know I did. When I was reading it I felt like I was one of the characters in the story. Joanne Brothwell does an amazing job at describing the characters feelings, the theme of the story, and the characters through out the whole book. I couldn't put it down because it was amazing from the beginning to the very end. After I got to the ending I tossed my nook on the bed and looked at my husband and said I can't believe that is how they ended the book and there better be a third book to this sequel. I also told him I didn't want it to end. I was so angry. So hopefully there is another book to this series because if there isn't I am going to be one ticked off person. Happy Reading...
