Ella Webber has spent years uncomfortable around the opposite sex…

But as soon as she meets handsome Declan Stone, she is smitten. Quickly they become friends, finding frequent reasons to see each other around the office, and Ella longs for even more. So—with a little help from her friends—Ella resorts to performing a little seduction. One that Declan will never be able to resist.

Burdened by emotional baggage from his time in the Marine Corps, Declan refuses to believe he’s the right man for sweet Ella. Even if she makes him long for normal things, like marriage and family….But in his attempts to close off his heart from her love, could he have underestimated Ella’s powers of persuasion?

Even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I was not aware of this until I googled the author. Landon made a great job making sure new readers aren’t lost while reading.

In this book we meet Mr. Hottie, Declan. He claims he doesn’t deserve sweet innocent Ella. The only problem is she is head over heels over Declan. Ella is indeed innocent. She is even a virgin. Not that this is a bad thing, but when it comes to experienced Declan, Ella believes he doesn’t like her for her inexperience. This is where all the fun starts. Ella starts dating random guys. However, Declan is not the type of men that sits and watch. No, he takes charge.

I really enjoyed reading this cute story. Many young women encounter this moment when they begin dating. Women with their insecurity, the lack of experience and the fear of trying the unknown will make them think less of who they really are. Nonetheless when you have the right partner, this person will take care of you. This is what Declan does. He doesn’t pressure Ella; he always makes sure she is ready and sure of what she wants. This is how Ella becomes a new person. She takes charge of her life. She starts believing in herself, enough to stand up to her strict mother. I liked the ending of the story, very believable.
