Bitter Sweet Love was a good introduction into JLA's newest series. The Dark Elements series shows it's going to have a ton of potential and definitely continue in the success of all previous books written by JLA.

Bitter Sweet Love as I mention is a good way to open the door to this series, you are introduced to the Wardens and what their purpose is which is getting rid of Demons. And when I say Demons, all sorts of different ranking/type of Demons that live among the humans. It's not a pretty job but someone has to do it.

Jasmine is the main characters in this prequel, she is shocked when her ex just appears back in her life again, after disappearing for 3 years. Dez just fell off the face of the earth from her life with no explanation or letter, Jaz gave up hope and becamed destroyed by that. So imagine how she feels when Dez is back and her dad decided they will be mated, like if nothing ever happen and he wasn't missing and hasn't even explained why he disappeared.

Jaz decided she will give him 7 days to try and win her over without any grantees of mating him and she asked for some crazy conditions that normally wouldn't fly. Even her dad allows her and Dez to try and accomplish some of these conditions. Of course don't expect everything to run smoothly, when your out in the real world there is always the possibility of running into those pesky Demons.

Great starter book, read it before White Hot Kiss comes out March 1st 2014.
