One simple lesson in seduction between two friends can turn into so much more…

Despite her outgoing demeanor, Olivia is painfully insecure around the opposite sex—usually, she can’t get up the nerve to approach guys she’s interested in. But moving to Edinburgh has given her a new start, and, after she develops a crush on a sexy postgrad, she decides it’s time to push past her fears and go after what she wants.

Nate Sawyer is a gorgeous player who never commits, but to his close friends, he’s as loyal as they come. So when Olivia turns to him with her relationship woes, he offers to instruct her in the art of flirting and to help her become more sexually confident.

The friendly education in seduction soon grows into an intense and hot romance. But then Nate’s past and commitment issues rear their ugly heads, and Olivia is left broken-hearted. When Nate realizes he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he will have to work harder than he ever has before to entice his best friend into falling back in love with him—or he may lose her forever…

I don’t know if any of you have read anything of Samantha Young’s On Dublin Street series. If you haven’t, let me tell you something – YOU ARE MISSING OUT! She is goddess when it comes to writing hot scenes. A freaking genious. I always fan myself whenever I read her stories. But what I love most about her is that she knows how to balance romance and sexiness, which in my opinion, this is perfect for a love story.

When it comes to her love life, Olivia has always struggle with this. She feels out of place. Geeky. Inexperience. Unwanted.

One drunk night, she confesses to her guy friend, Nate, how she truly sees herself. Nate thinks she’s nuts. He wants to know how this beautiful woman can feel unworthy. Although Nate has a thing for Olivia, he is afraid of commitments. Now with Olivia’s confession, he wants to show her how he sees her. With no commitments, he wants to start teaching her how to embrace her beauty. But you can never hide your true feeling forever, right?

I enjoyed reading this third installment of the series. Olivia and Nate are perfect for each other. I love their banter. They made me laugh a lot. But I envy Olivia. She has the best of both worlds. Not only does she fall for this hottie with a stunning body but she falls for her soon to be best friend. Who wouldn’t want that? Like I said, best of both worlds.

Before Jamaica Lane can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you read this series from the beginning. Trust me, you will end up loving these characters.

  1. I really want to read the rest of this series. I have read the first book and own the second but never read it! Now you made me realize how much I miss the author's writing and the smooth transitions from romance plot to sexy scenes. Thanks for the great review!
