Perfect for fans of Sliding Doors, Kasie West's riveting novel Pivot Point follows a girl with the power to see her potential futures.

Addison Coleman's life is one big "What if?" As a Searcher, a special type of clairvoyant, whenever Addie is faced with a choice, she is able to look into the future and see both outcomes. So when her parents tell her they are getting a divorce and she has to pick who she wants to live with, a Search has never been more important.

In one future Addie is living with her mom in the life she's always known and is being pursued by the most popular guy in school. In the other she is the new girl in school, where she falls for a cute, quiet artist. Then Addie finds herself drawn into a murder investigation, and her fate takes a darker turn. With so much to lose in either future, Addie must decide which reality she's willing to live through . . . and who she's willing to live without.

In this world there is a compound where a group of people with special mental abilities ranging from telekinetic, mood changers, lie detectors and other abilities are hidden within the normal world. In the compound there is a school where the teens learn to develop and advance their abilities once they are discovered and here is where we meet are characters. Addie, the main one, who has the ability to search the future for outcomes depending of which choices she takes and Laila her best friend, who can erase memories.

Addie’s home life is about to change, her parents are getting a divorce and she is asked to make the choice with whom to live. Her Mom will stay in the compound, while her Dad will leave the security of the community and go out to live with the norms (normal people). Laila proposed for her to search her future and see which would be her best option and here is where the fun begins. These searches are like if she is living those divergent moments as they happened. She searches both options and finds mystery, lies, danger and love in both. The end result in one is the death of her best friend, making her choose the one that would avoid that and in return she will loose her chance to be with the boy she loves. Life goes as planned, but destiny proves to be fickle and she gets a surprise at the end with a proper balance of anticipation for the next book. The supporting cast adds a balanced dose of villains, lovable and witty characters.

The story is told alternating chapters according to the option being search, it takes a while to get used to it but it works well at the end. This book has everything, romance, suspense and action that will keep you glued to the pages all the way to the end, definitely a must read.
