Tia and Will’s lives get flipped upside down when they’re voted Yearbook’s Biggest Flirts in this sassy novel from the author of Endless Summer and The One That I Want.

Tia just wants to have fun. She’s worked hard to earn her reputation as the life of the party, and she’s ready for a carefree senior year of hanging out with friends and hooking up with cute boys. And her first order of business? New guy Will. She can’t get enough of his Midwestern accent and laidback swagger.

As the sparks start to fly, Will wants to get serious. Tia’s seen how caring too much has left her sisters heartbroken, and she isn’t interested in commitment. But pushing Will away drives him into the arms of another girl. Tia tells herself it’s no big deal…until the yearbook elections are announced. Getting voted Biggest Flirts with Will is, well, awkward. They may just be friends, but their chemistry is beginning to jeopardize Will’s new relationship—and causing Tia to reconsider her true feelings. What started as a lighthearted fling is about to get very complicated…

I had a bit of trouble with the beginning of the story. The first chapter was confusing and didn't get me hooked right away like most intros. Early in the story you're introduced to Tia, the promiscuous, weed smoking, alcoholic high school girl, which was very difficult to relate to. If this had been in a college setting, it would have seemed more realistic.

Will's character confused me as well. He's shy, but outgoing? I didn't really understand him. The question of why he had to have a girlfriend so fast is never answered.

The middle of the book is ok. Will & Tia become friends, & we find out about Tia's dysfunctional family & why she is the way she is. In the end though, you are not sure how things turn out. They figure things out & then it's over. For me, it read like a work in progress rather than a completed novel. Overall, this was an okay read.

  1. It started pretty slow for me too. I had to put it down for a while too because I wasn't really connecting then I buckled down and read it on a plane ride and I'm glad I did. I think I ended up liking it way more that you did, because I was swooning over Will and Tia way more than I had planned :)
